Heavy duty cast iron
This kettle is a heavy duty cast iron and is great for brewing tea. The cast iron material retains heat really well. This is not a stove stop kettle. Instead you add tea leaves to the infuser & then pour enough boiling water into the kettle to cover the leaves. Place the lid on and let it steep. The beautiful kettle is a decorative piece that will add a special touch to tea time. It looks beautiful on display as well. Very happy with this piece and I prefer the non toxic cast iron kettle over regular stove top.

DO NOT PUT ON STOVETOP, infuser is basically that thing you put in your sink to catch left over gunk
Despite what this says, after some googling, I discovered you are only supposed to brew tea in here, not boil water. It says in the description that it is stovetop safe, but in the Engrish instructions, it vaguely hints this is not the best idea. A few searches lead me to the fact that if it has a different interior than the exterior, it is not all cast iron and not made for the stovetop.Cons:~The Diffuser is mesh junk. Literally looks like it'd only be good for straining spaghetti or catching stuff at the bottom of the sink after washing dishes. Tons of leaves got through. I have a real diffuser that I bought separately that I love, and I recommend buying ANYTHING else. It also has no handle or anything to remove the diffuser with, so that's another issue if you literally have nothing else. It'll work in a pinch if it's all you have, but please if you buy this, buy a diffuser with it!~ It tiny. It's cute and little and I love it for that, and I'll get about three cups of tea out of it for my 5ML cup. I wouldn't use it if you're wanting a huuge amount of tea, but it's great for a small serving.~has a weird smell when first running boiling water in itPros:~It's great for a small serving. Just pouring tea for myself, it has plenty.~It's neat. It's got a cool look and being all iron it's heavy and weighty and feels nice for the price.~It keeps your tea HOT. Like wow, it's super hot. I like that I don't have to rush to enjoy my tea.~The coloring seems even and even if it's not being used it'll look cool sitting somewhere.~It pours nicely, and doesn't seem to spill or threaten to drop the lid the moment you tilt it.~Could probably take out two or three people charging at you with it while you make tea.Overall it's nice. I just brewed my first pot of tea, and despite the horrible diffuser, (which is the reason for no five stars) it's a good teapot. I did as suggested in the instructions and what I found online, and poured boiling water in first, swished it around, and then poured it out and then made tea with new boiling water. There is a weird smell when you first boil water in it, almost familiar, kind of smells like a department store. Regardless, I'd suggest making sure to run a couple of boiling water flushes through it just to make sure you don't have to worry about anything. The tea tastes great, despite all the little tea leaves floating around inside.I'm pretty happy with it, of course I'll amend that if it insults my dog or melts from the inside out or something. But for the moment, it seems like a good tea brewer. Just be sure to heat the water elsewhere first, and I'm sure this'll last for quite some time. On opening, it seems neat, and dries quickly. I like it and currently would recommend it.

Beautiful tea kettle. The design is just too unique and original.I couldn't resist not getting it. Tea is very important to us in my family and culture we often serve it with Mediterranean deserts in our weekly family gatherings. I love the fact that it has a filter so I can use loose tea which is much richer in taste than tea bags along with couple Cardamomim pieces and half a cinnamon stick with them all simmering giving us that rich and yummy taste.I love that I can just heat it over the stove top for faster and easier use. It can serve at least 3 Ikea mugs at once which is great. However due to the design its not super easy to clean. But all in all Works great so far and we love it!

Absolutely love this kettle
I love this tea kettle. It's super sturdy, it seems small but if you are just making tea for up to 2 to 3 people its perfect. I love the color which I was slightly nervous about the handle being an obnoxious bright yellow gold but it's a bit toned down and perfect. The handle also doesn't get as hot as the pot at all. If you're looking for utility and beauty in one instead of purchasing both a kettle for use AND a teapot for looks then this is your pot! I love it! Its definitely an item that will be on display when it isn't in use.

Burn yourself with lid & steam, rusts, boils over, paint bubbles
Save yourself the headache with these types of boutique kettles, you'll regret it and end up buying a real one anyways. If you don't sit there to know it's boiling there's no whistle, so if you have it about half full or more it'll boil out/splash out through the spout onto your stove. If you leave it for about 3-5 more minutes it'll be empty and start burning the unit. When you pick it up, the steam coming through the hole in the lid can easily burn you, take it off and then it's just a bigger hole steam cooking your hand.If you tilt it to 91 degrees while pouring the lid will fall off. It's super hot, so hopefully it doesn't burn what it falls on, and then your reaction to grab it (by the solid metal knob) you'll get burned too.The paint on the lid is still intact, but bubbling/separating larger and larger over time. I've used it about 50 times in 6 months. The inside is coated with something, the very edge where the lid sits is not, so it'll slowly rust over time. It's not a review against this one specifically, but towards this style of kettle in general. Get a modern larger stainless steel whistle kettle so it'll last a lifetime and you won't get burned, physically or financially.

DON’T BUY UNLESS YOU ENJOY BOILING WATER EXPLODING ALL OVER YOUR KITCHEN
I don’t know how someone could engineer a teapot so poorly that it malfunctions, but this item is proof that it’s possible.Once the water boils inside the teapot, it immediately spews a ton of scalding hot water out the spout and all over the stove. I can’t stress this enough. It’s like a fountain. The only way to avoid this is to only fill it half way, but it’s so damn small that it defeats the purpose, unless you enjoy drinking your tea in 1/2 cup increments. It’s beautiful and looks great and is adorably small, but don’t by this if your goal is to actually heat liquid in it.

Not what I expected!
After 3 weeks of use the steel infuser became rusty, the top part of the pot lid became rusty and parts of the paint came off! I did exactly as the instructions for handling yet I was very disappointed with the product. I thought the product would last longer.

Horrible
I definitely thought this was a whistle blowing kettle, but it’s not. It’s incredible small and it rusts easily so drinking from it can actually be dangerous. Would not recommend and regret buying this.

Don’t buy
The paint is already chipping. It’s a piece of garbage.

Heavy 1 cup kettle
A few observations.1. Other than in the description, there is nothing Japanese about it. Made in China.2. It is HEAVY.3. It can at most boil only a 250ml cup of water. Any more and the water spews out of the spout.4. Everything gets very hot. The cover, the handle. Be very very careful! And so does the water and tea.5. Would have returned it but wife likes the look of the kettle and I make my 1 cup of tea in it and like that the tea is hot. I make Indian style black tea with tea leaves.6. In spite of use for a month still burn my hands touching either the cover or handle!

Me encanta

The little knob on top gets hot
Love the color and shape. Does keep tea warm for awhile.
