Great Knife, Great Value from Civivi
Beautiful knife, it has great build quality, it looks great. Only fall back is that the flipper is a touch balky. You have to pop your wrist a little when using the flipper for the blade to snick into place. Which surprised me. Addendum: a drop of oil did the trick. Now the knife opens buttery smooth. I really like this knife. I was also looking at he Praxis, and decided on this one because the carbon black looked cook. And It is selling at a discount because it has been discontinued. Worth every penny. The blade is sharp, and seems to hold an edge. I will check in after it is used more.

Well made and a good value
A very well made and versatile knife for the price. The blade length, cutting edge and handle length are nearly identical to my favorite kitchen knife, making this perfect for cooking chores while camping. Very sharp when new, it's too soon for me to know how well it will hold its edge, but from what I've read this is an excellent steel, so I expect it to perform well. The opening action is very smooth and easy with one hand, and there's no spring to compress when closing so it closes very easily with one hand, too. There are a couple small things I would change in a perfect world. The liner lock does not protrude as far as I would like to easily release the blade for folding. Also, the clip is an odd shape, so somehow it stops me from easily clipping and unclipping. Not at all deal-breakers but worth mentioning.

Very Nice drop-point knife, But 4-Stars for Handle "Craftsmanship"
Overall, its very well made ... At first glance, the blade is very thin, however, it is etched with "9CR18MOV" which makes for a MUCH stronger blade... So positives, "thinner" means lighter and sharper. And In this case, using that high grade material, not "weaker" but, not going to be chopping any tree branches with it. Using 9CR, that's how they can confidently grind it "full hollow" all the way up to the swedge... It's like a razor blade at the edge! THere is also a generous sized choil relief radius just forward of the flipper/guard and 13 bevel finished knurls on the spine where I can place a large part of my thumb... this knife will be great for gutting/skinning fish. Has nicely bevel finished knurls on the flipper. Blade deploys very smoothly. Has a very positive liner lock that easy to manipulate when folding. The pocket clip offers an almost completely hidden pocket depth. And finally, the handle (sigh) ... I have always liked the cool woven pattern of carbon fiber (This is carbon fiber laminated onto G10)... but, oh-geez... on the one i got, they gound away 50% of it to make the bevels on the scale edges :(... they ground the beval very shallow and wide, all the way to the edge of the "C" emblem on the one side and left carbon fiber barely as thick as the pocket clip on the other. I get it... they seem to want a rounded feel to handles, but for a much better look, maybe only grind half as much off on the sides of the handles near where the blade deploys from. Anyway, great "overall" knife. If you don't mind my take on trivial "look" of the handle... recommended!

Real nice quality EDC
Arrived in a very nice package with a cleaning cloth, a nylon zippered pouch , a few stickers too. Smooth action that “broke in” became real early after 5-6 opens. Super sharp straight out of the package. Nice feel in my hand, fits well in jeans pockets. Only complaint would be the length. Make this boy 1/2” shorter on the blade and case and would be a 5 star for sure. All in all great value for the buck !

Very solid knife
This is a very nice, lightweight, and sharp knife. very sharp right out of the box and had a nice grip on the handle. the handle feels a little on the cheaper side but I cant complain because its a solid and strong knife.

Just wow
Wow this is a good knife. Superb action, fit and finish. More comfortable in my hand than the full sized Praxis, which seems large and unwieldy to me. So if you want an improvement with different ergos, this a fine choice.

I am very happy with it.
I am a rather new knife collector. I know what I like and I know what I don't like. I do like the CIVIVI Folding Pocket Knife Baklash C801H (Double Black). I have extra large hands and the size of this knife works well for me. I can get all 4 fingers on the handle with the knife open. The action is very smooth when I use the flipper. The Liner Lock works smoothly, much like more expensive knives. I have read that the pocket clip gets sprung occasionally. I don't use the pocket clip so that will not be a problem for me. I like the Double Black look. The metallic blue liner gives this Black knife a very nice look. It is quite elegant. It weighs about 3.8 ounces. I believe it is a good value. I am very happy with it.
