Perfect Grind for a Perfect Cup of Coffee
Several studies say a coarse grind makes a better coffee. We had an electric grinder and thought everything was fine until we used this vintage manual grinder which I bought for when the power is out. The difference is truly remarkable so now every morning I am happily manually grinding coffee beans for a truly delicious cup of coffee. My BIL, who used Keurig at home, also noticed the difference. He thought it was the type of coffee we used and after some explanation, now owns this grinder and manually grinds coffee every morning as well. We've joked we should buy another grinder just in case. I probably will

Inexpensive and works fine for drip/Melita/french press coffee
Adjusting the grind is a bit fiddly but once set it works fine. There are many "better" and much more costly grinders, but for making 1-2 cups of medium or coarse grind coffee this does the trick at a very affordable price. Looks cute enough to leave out on the counter.I would not recommend this for big Mr. Coffee drip machines. It is a small grinder. Similarly I would not recommend it for espresso or fine grinds. It's just not made for that. For my use, mostly with a small french press, this grinder is perfect. On that I will give it 5 Stars.

Nice Retro Grinder
I purchased this grinder because it reminds me of the one my grandmother had. I am going to be honest I have not used it, why I figured it was fair to give it four stars for sturdiness of the one I received and the look of it. All the pieces seem to be in working order and the adjustment was kind of simple, like I said I didn’t use it. The cleaning brush that came with it seems like it will work well, the bristles are longer than the others so cleaning in smaller places should be easier. For what I know this is pretty impressive, at least this one. Remember we all have a unique view so be sure to check out more than one or two reviews and I find switching the order to the “Most Recent” Is better since production of items do change over time. Happy Amazoning!

Weakly constructed, low quality wood
It looked almost perfect when it first arrived besides a few scuff marks. This was after one use. It started cracking on both sides. It does grind beans perfectly but it’s only a matter of time before it falls apart. Now I see why people use stuff like this more as decor than as an actually functional tool.

Best little useful grinder for our beans on vaca in a pinch
Sent to a hotel and ground up beans while on vaca! Great in a pinch during covid when no coffee shops were open! This was fun too. If we only used it 10 times, it was worth it to smell those fresh ground beans! Don’t do too much - great for like 2 cups. One French press even - I would take it to a cabin or camping.

Meh
It’s not the best for those with arthritis or carpal tunnel. It does the job, but I feel like it should come with a strong sticker to hold it down on a surface. The grinder is starting to come lose from the wooden box part. I wouldn’t really recommend it; maybe go with an electric grinder or a higher quality manual instead. Cute otherwise.

Not what I am expected.
It's not making a fine coffee.

Perfect!
I wanted one of these for my kitchen as a decoration on a small shelf but the original ones I've seen were really big. This was really small, maybe 6 inches tall, super cute..more of a decoration than a coffee grinder but will grind coffee, love it so much!
