I searched and searched, and then noticed some of the nicer sleeves were specifically for MacBooks. I even read comments where people said the sleeves they bought didn't work on their Windows laptops. This concerned me, because why wouldn't there be more nice cases for laptops that weren't MacBooks. Finally I found this one, with enough space for all of my accessories, and even a large zipper pocket where I can put my 10in Lenovo tablet! I have a 17" laptop that I have to have for school, so this was really helpful. I've been using it for five days every week for three months, and there's no issues with the zippers, and no rips or tears. Regarding whether it protects the computer or not, it does. I wouldn't recommend slamming your laptop down with it though. I'm not sure if it's that protective. But putting it down on the ground and on top of a table and so on, it does protect it from scratches, nicks, or bumps.
