We have a pull-out / sliding trash cabinet that wouldn't stay 100% shut, and as a result our dog kept getting into the trash. Installed 2 of these (1 on each side) and they provide "just enough" force to keep the cabinet shut, while still being pretty effortless to open.

Excellent for cabinets

The magnets worked well. They are strong enough to hold the cabinet doors shut, but not too strong that they make it difficult to open the doors. They also were easy to install.

Arrived as ordered. Magnets are very strong. May even be too strong for older or frail individuals. The magnets come in various stength levels. Think through how strong you need it.

Not sure what "30lb" in the description refers to. Magnets pull away with far less force than that.
