I got these to do my daughter's hair. I normally install notless box braids but the process can be tedious because of the time and effort you have to put into creating the style. I struggle to braid due to carpal tunnel. So it would take me twice as long to do. With these, I still install them as individuals but in a fourth of the time! I have even added curly pieces to them for a boho look that can be removed whenever you want. The ends curl well using cold wave rods and hot water method. There is no smell from the braids, the cost is very affordable, & you get a generous amount of braids per bundle. They are very beautiful and the colors are even better than what I expected. They do not frizz if you wrap them at night. The size of the braids are slightly small but definitely look professionally braided. The feel soft and durable. I will definitely be repurchasing these for my daughter and myself next time too!

So... The braids come twisted at the ends, I undid that and combed them out (I planned to give them loose ends anyway.) Oh, if you give them loose ends and fuss because the synthetic hair gets ratty after a while like it's not synthetic, I mean... Just don't buy this. When attempting to curl, boiling hot water has to be used, but don't expect a super tight curl because it'll be more like a loose wave. I haven't tried using a curling rod on these though, that might work if the braids are wet on a low/med low heat but I don't plan to risk it. Also, once you've given the hair loose ends, it will get a little ratty over time. Just re-dip them in boiling water and conditioner solution, you'll be fine. I've had my braids in for 2 months over my locs. I found them easy to install and work with, the only challenge was hiding the ends of my locs with braid jewelry. It comes with jewels and a latch hook tool btw. The description they use doesn't really fit the actual color transition, I happen to think the braids are prettier in person. Now... My favorite thing about these braids is they are super simple to care for. When I got the hair, of course it smelled, it's in a factory for who knows how long where they use chemicals to maintain the integrity of the fibers until purchase. If you don't wash the hair before install, then the outcome is on us as the customer, not the vendor. We should always be washing our products before install. I prefer to wash with acv, baking soda, and Shea moisture shampoo. I do a piping hot water bath and gently agitate the hair before letting it soak for 30 mins or more. I'll do that process 3-4 times or so, then follow with the same brand conditioner and soak once for up to an hour. I rinse in cool water and then boom. Done. Now when I maintain the hair (both removed and installed) I use the exact same process just, obviously not piping hot water. I've found this process to be perfect for maintaining the hair's softness and longevity. I love that I can reuse the braids and since they gave me so many I have been working on using the leftover bags to distress into faux locs. They aren't heavy at all, btw.. I actually wear my hair down when I workout so it doesn't pull, and I never feel like I've got extra weight on my neck. I'll definitely buy this again, just in the burgundy. This product in particular is hands down my best hair purchase on Amazon. Mainly because you can take them out, wash and use again. I also like that these can be used as individuals with a little patience. (This is how I installed since I'm loc'd. Some snacks, maybe a good show and some time to install.) Oh! - I also love that these have dark roots since my locs are dark, makes it a little harder to see my locs in them. I have arthritis in my hands from years as a stylist, and I can't handle braiding anymore. So when I tell you these are such a life saver, I'll literally never have to braid again so long as I take care of these. Some said one pack wasn't enough, I have a total of 81 locs and it handled that to completion with one pack and extras to spare as I stated earlier in this review. I guess some like their hair crazy full so, that's at your discretion, but one pack was more than enough for my needs. Buy them and take care of them, you won't regret it, I promise. UPDATE: it's July 18th and these braids are still going strong. I originally installed in March. Totally with the money. Still maintaining them as described above.

Love these braids easy install and upkeep. I’ve gotten many compliments on the color and length. The only downfalls are that after time small hairs start breaking from the braids so you’ll need to regular trimming to keep them neat. They are also heavy I would not recommend putting in more than 3 packs as the weight strains your neck and can cause headaches especially at night when you’re sleeping because of the gravitational pull.

Hair is super soft & lightweight!

It’s very pretty. It’s pre looped, but the loop is so small it makes it hard to crochet the hair. If it wasn’t for that one issue I’d give it 5 stars.

I really love this hair is actually very lightweight. May possibly need to change the name from medium box braids to small because they are less than the size of an of an average pinky nail, but besides that these are awesome. They were very easy to install. there was one flaw with some of them. Some had loops that were amazing to work with and other loops were harder because they were not easy to separate. I have a larger head and typically need 160 strands at least a for the desired fullness I prefer. So I ordered 2 of the bulk packages. I used one bulk pack and 2 smaller packs from the 2nd bulk. My braid pattern was to mimic individual edges. So I have small boxes all around the perimeter and also a deep off-side part I’m ready to try some other colors People kept saying this was going to be a “hood rat” style due to the colors but these colors are really awesome. I don’t fit the mold of a hood rat lmbo so I’m just me wearing some awesome braids I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. I have had random people running up to me just saying “we love your hair! where do you get it done ?” and I’m like I didn’t get it done anywhere I did it myself and I purchased my hair off of Amazon. Best decision!

These braids are great for achieving a cute, affordable style. They are light and the individual braids are neat. I was able to keep them in for a few weeks. They did not have an odor to them and can be easily washed. They may take some time to air dry! I would not recommend drying with a hot hair dryer.

Really well made. The braids are not shiny, they look quite natural. I am very happy with my purchase :)
