Easy to set up
Great product for my family member and dementia and poor vision. Clear, easy to follow instructions.

Wonderful Clock!
While I’m not “elderly,” having this clock near my bed has prevented panicked moments of me thinking that I need to get up to go to work on a Saturday morning! 🤭 I love how the weekday is shown and the phases (morning, afternoon, etc.) of each day are shown, as well. The clock also has other neat features, too! I bought another one for my reading room where I may doze off at times.

Easy to set up, see, functional, modern appeal, speaks time at a push of a button. Great gift idea
Very easy to set up just turn it on and follow the directions. At any given time I can look up and like the idea of being able to see the time of day or night...with a push of a button it will speak the time, day etc. I hung my clock on the wall and you can adjust the brightness of the clock so it won't be so bright at night. I will not using these functions but it is capable of setting alarms, birthdays, personal medication time etc. I also think it would also be nice to use at the bedside, living room, kitchen etc. Everything you would like to program into the clock can be locked so you don't loose what you programmed by pushing odd buttons by mistake. I've been so busy therefore I haven't had the time to check for battery usage which would be nice if there's a power outage (don't see battery slots)...yet though I do see underneath a slot for what looks like for a micro disc and a usb charger??.... when time allows I'll come back later to comment...as of right now I just wanted a simple functional modern looking clock that was large and visible enough to look up at during the night and go right back to sleep without moving around to much to focus in on the size of the numbers of the displayed time. This clock does that for me and then some! I would definitely recommend for someone who has a little trouble keeping up with the time of day, a little trouble seeing and hearing. It does show the date, time month and year and if it's morning, afternoon, evening, night or am. It also has military time if you like. I think it would be a great purchase for a gift to someone also. You can't go wrong with this one.

Awesome Digital Day Clock
I love the 2020 Robin clock! It costs a little more than other digital day clocks, but you get a lot of features for the money. The display is great and the Robin is the only day clock I could find that didn't have all the screen text in upper case letters, which makes the Robin easier to read at a distance. The brightness is fully adjustable and the auto dimming level can also be adjusted, as well as allowing you to change the dimming start and end times. I found this clock very easy to set up because of the screen prompts and the buttons along the side. I liked that it adjusted for Daylight Saving Time automatically. Some day clocks require manual adjustment for DST. I have issues with most digital clocks gaining or losing time since they don't depend on the 60 cycle AC power. Instead they use a transformer and rectifier to convert the high voltage AC to low voltage DC which causes them to lose the ability to sync to the 60 Hz power line frequency. I checked my clock and it has kept the exact time for over a month. Way better than the last digital clock I bought! There are issues with this clock that other reviewers have reported that have not been addressed. I received my clock on October 20 and a reviewer from January 20, nine months ago, raised the issue where between 12:01 and 12:59 PM the display shows PM but announces "The time is 12:xx AM". Another reviewer mentioned that the talking clock feature announces times one minute ahead at the beginning of the hour, so 3:00 PM is announced as 3:01 PM, and I verified this has not been fixed in the 2020 Robin clock. *2024 UPDATE* I purchased a 2024 Robin clock and the above issues have been resolved. However, the display on the new clock does not have the sharp contrast of the older model. I tried swapping the display from a new clock with the older model and found the issue is with the circuitry in the new model and not the actual display. Something changed in the clock to made the display worse. Since I bought the clock for the visual display I can live with the audio issues and poor sound quality. If they resolved these issues I would buy a second one for my office and give the Robin clock a 5-star review.

A Little Clunky to Set Up, but GREAT for my folks!
This is the second clock we've bought for dementia assistance. The first was for my grandmother, and this one if for my dad. This version has definitely improved on the first model (and I don't remember the name of that one). Things I liked about this: 1. Extremely easy to read - the display options were great to allow us to tailor the messaging that was best for my dad. 2. Could be set on a table, instead of hung on the wall. Fiddling with the "off" switch for the alarm can be a bit frustrating, so that might be inconvenient (and lead to dropped clocks) if mounted to the wall. Some of them don't have the ability to stand upright, but this one does. My grandmother pulled hers off of the wall just trying to read it. 3. Alarms are really, really helpful because they flash specific information. My grandmother didn't need that - she was past that point - but my dad was looking for a bit more control. Setting custom alarms for him, and being able to add specific directions that made sense to him, was exactly what he needed. 4. Different sounds for different alarms. Since my dad wanted some daily alarms (take your meds!) and some weekly alarms (put out the garbage!) it was really nice to be able to set different kinds of sounds. He likes to joke that the level of annoyance he feels for the rooster that tells him its time to take out the trash has somehow prompted him to remember it each week JUST TO AVOID HAVING TO HEAR IT! Criticisms 1. We really liked the idea of adding pictures, but that only worked a few of the times we tried to add them. It's a clunky process to transfer files to an SD card, and then upload the correct file. It simply didn't work. But this was a "nice to have" not a "need to have." 2. While the set up was easy on some respects, it was so simplified that it was almost hard to do. I can't really blame the company for making this easy enough for the less technologically adept, but I nearly had to crawl out of y skin because of the tedious, time-consuming way to enter the information. My kingdom for a quick connection to a laptop for transferring files or typing instructions! All in all, those were minor annoyances, and it does what it is supposed to do, in the way it's supposed to do it. It's made a world of difference for my dad *AND* my mom.

Really handy clock
Got it for my mom while in the nursing home, and now I am using it. Love this! Not just a clock, but tells you what day of the week, calendar date, whether it is early morning, afternoon or evening. I had programmed a lot of birthdays and anniversaries into it for my mom, which I set the time at 6:30 to ring a few times to alert her when there was an occasion. Never took it off the clock, so I am now the one who has the ringing going off on certain mornings.

Three clocks gone Bad! So Disappointing!!! Fantastic customer service!!!!
I am terribly disappointed. I bought two, one large for the living area and one small for the bedroom to help my Brother who has Down Syndrome. Although it is tedious to set up once I was done I loved the features and most importantly it was a great help to my brother. Unfortunately the small one quickly began to malfunction. When we scheduled alarms or events and program the alarm to automatically turn off it doesn’t turn off and continues to ring indefinitely. Also it randomly labels days as holidays incorrectly. For instance November 18th was labeled as Christmas Day! You can imagine my Brother’s confusion. I reached out to customer service and after satisfying their request of photos and video evidence they quick replaced the clock even though I was outside of the warranty period. The replacement developed its own problems shortly after I received it and I just did not feel like fooling with it so we have relied on the large clock in our living room. Well now as we get to the one year mark, it to is having issues and will not allow me to access some menu items. I am not able to remove scheduled notifications or edit them. Alarms that are no longer needed must be endured or the clock must be unplugged prior to the Alarm going off. This is too confusing for my brother. I will begin the search for a new product however when I searched last year this seemed to be the only one that offered so many features and a display I liked. I just feel like I paid too much for a product that consistently has problems and I cannot trust that replacements will be any better so I’m moving on rather than trying to get them replaced again. Update: I am adding two stars to my review. Since posting this review the company has reached out to me multiple times and has offered to replace the clocks. The customer service really shines and it is very evident that they care about their customers and their reputation. Hopefully my situation was just a coincidence because the working product is very helpful for anyone with cognitive problems or intellectual disabilities.
