Zero ticks. This was used on gear for a week long retreat in wooded swampy area. Worked better than expected! Make sure you take the time in advance to allow adequate dry time after treatment of gear. If you follow the instructions, it seems to work great.

This product really kept the spiders (and other bugs) out of our Boy Scouts' tents!

I bought this for a trip to a malaria area. It was impossible to spray - the button was so difficult to press that I had to use a pair of pliers to push it down. I don't know yet if this product will be effective. I would not be surprised if it was not effective because it was so difficult to spray, I couldn't coat my clothing consistently. Update: Pattern reached out to offer me a refund. While the product still rates one star, Pattern’s customer service rates 5 stars, so I’ve updated the total rating to 3 stars.

I used this while hiking, as it was my first time trying any insect repellent due to concerns about ticks and mosquitoes. The product worked effectively - I wasn't bothered by any insects during my hike. I plan to use it on my tent and sleeping bag exterior during my next camping trip. While the product itself works well, I'm giving it four stars instead of five because the spray mechanism was difficult to press on the first canister I've used
