COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lip Perfection Lip Liner Splendid 235, .04 oz (packaging may vary)

This Passion colored lip liner matches Covergirl Lip Perfection Flame 300 colored lipstick. Its very bright (verses the more muted reds I usually see). Most importantly, it has a yellow undertone. If gold jewelry & bronze-tinted or coral lipsticks look good on you (instead of looking too orange), this might look great on you. Honestly, I'd recommend it for medium-dark skin tones since its so bright that on fair skin it might overwhelm. Amazingly, this is the first lip product I've ever found that truly lasts all day!!! Even when I removed it, it tinted my lips for at least 6 hours! Here's what I did: I lotioned my lips and wiped off the excess. Then, I lined my lips and filled it in (covering my entire lip - which is how liner should be used) Then, I put on lipstick & blotted. It really did last ALL DAY. I'm amazed! Note: This is NOT a twistable liner (even though its creamier than many of those). You need the Covergirl 3-in-1 sharpener. Regular sharpeners don't work right.

This is one of my favorite lip-liners. It's a mauve pink color, more nude on me. I am a cool toned & light. This pairs well with a lot of my "nude" lipsticks like MAC Cream Cup and MAC Snob. Although this is pink and those lipsticks are pink on most people, they are more nude on me. This liner stays on and doesn't move everywhere. It's non-greasy or too dry. It's perfect in texture and formula.

I was looking for a deeper shade and still got a pink. #225Beloved, looked like what I wanted, but when used it, it was nice and smooth to apply but didn't show up. Still too light for me. When I sharpened, the liner was loose, and I can pull it right out of the pencil. The first time I used another one I ordered, the point broke off with my first stroke. Splendid 235 didn't give me a good color to choose from, still lighter than 225. I am 81 years old and still have brownish hair, not quite salt and pepper with blonde streaks on the sides. Weird, huh! Sorry, can't be of much help to you. I was disappointed with the product, not the seller. Buy yours from a store. Once you've purchased from Amazon, you cannot return it (being used or otherwise). Even when I purchased 2 of #235, one hadn't been used and they refused a refund. I worked directly with the seller and she gladly took it back and refunded me the money for the one that hadn't been used. P.S. I did try it again when I wore a mauve/pinkish blouse, did not look bad. Delivery was on time or early. competent seller. I would use them again.

I love the color that I chose and overall, the product is great as it goes on smoothly without tugging or dragging....... if the pencil is sharpened. It would get 5+ stars if it were self sharpening. I really like those types of pencils. Sadly, what I had before was like that but was replaced with this pencil. I definitely think that was a step down.
