I have used this product for many years, mostly on young horses. I currently have a 3 yr old I am working with, and Via Calm helps keep them focused and not scatter brained or flighty as they can be. Well yesterday evening I hauled my young colt and 12 year old mare to a friends to utilize her nice arena. I gave Via Calm to both horse, my mare gets a bit nervous at this arena, and she gives me problems when I start practicing the barrel racing pattern. Many times it has been an unnecessary fight, as I am not “running” her. Most the time I walk and trot, may slow lope depending on how things are going. After giver the Via Calm, my mare was completely calm, no anxiety or fuss what so ever. It was the best ride I have had on her in a few years! And my 3 year old colt, I lunged him for a short time to see how he was going to be, and he was a perfect gentleman. Calm, not flighty, behaved like he has been to this arena 100 times. Focused on me and what I was asking of him. This stuff really works! Another great point I’d like to bring up is that you can feed daily, or I give this product about 30 minutes before riding. It isn’t required to give everyday, nor does it take up to 72 hours to get the benefits.

I absolutely love this supplement. I have had my mare on it for about a week. 1 scoop in the evenings with her grain. A couple days ago we trailered her, her buddy, and two other horses to a trail near the barn. Throughout the whole ride she was calm and responsive, which shocked me since this was the first trail ride of the year and she is normally pretty reactive. We even loped a bit and she was so easy to handle. When we loaded them to leave, her buddy freaked out and bolted out of the trailer while still tied and went behind my mare who was still in the trailer. He was thrashing and banging against the trailer until we got him loose. If she would have freaked out it could have been so much worse. But she stayed calm and we were able to get him untied and everyone walked away without major injury. I don't know if the supplement is what made her such a rockstar, but either way, I will never not have this on hand. Definitely would recommend!!!!!

I love this product, I have 3 horses on it and it definitely helps them mentally. Shipping isn't always ideal, the lid sometimes comes off in the box 😩

I got this product for one of my 13 year old haflinger/QH cross mare's who tends to be a little more on the tense/nervous side and finds it hard to relax totally. I did see results with her once I got her up to 3 scoops - she was more relaxed & focused. But the biggest results I've seen were with my 21 year old paint mare - she had some issues with stiffness, wasn't moving out real freely, took a long time to warm up and just seemed generally somewhat uncomfortable in her body. I hadn't wanted to use bute long term and she is allergic to some of the ingredients in other natural supplements (Devils Claw & White Willow), but after looking at the ingredients in this supplement I thought it might help with muscle stiffness/soreness as well since Magnesium & some of the other ingredients in there can be good for that, so I started her on it too - just 2 scoops/day. The improvement I've seen in her movement has been nothing short of amazing. I'd tried multiple other brands of magnesium supplements and other supplements for joints & muscle stiffness for her in the past with no results, so its something about the combination & amounts of the ingredients in the particular supplement AND this is cheaper than most of the other supplements I tried that didn't work. I ride her myself and because I'm a riding instructor she also gets ridden by a number of students each week, and every one of them was commenting on the huge difference they felt and saw. She is much more energetic (in a relaxed way, not a tense way) I guess because she is feeling so much better she is happy to move out and trots and walks so much more freely. She injured her hamstring about a year and a half ago and although she improved a lot with massage, stretching, and some other things my vet recommended, she remained unsound at the canter on a lunge line or under saddle. We aren't there yet, but she has been offering to canter on the lunge line more often and looking a lot better than she was, so I'm excited about the possibility she could get sound at the canter again in the future.

I have been using this for years in my lesson program. It helps just take the edge off it doesn't make our horses tired or have less energy but less nervous energy. Just recently used it on a few thoroughbred mares that came from a track then breeding program. One in particular is a very nervous girl and this stuff has worked wonders on her. Now she is less nervous and more trusting of us! We just use a scoop regularly in daily supplement packs. The day before an off property evernt we double up!

This product works amazing! I have a 5yo QH mare, she’s not high energy but emotional.. Very sensitive and tends to explode in giant rodeo bronc bucks.. Her teeth are good, saddle fits, I know she’s not in pain or uncomfortable tack. I personally think she had some training trauma when she was younger. But either way, this product makes her normal! I give her 1-2 scoops before I ride. She doesn’t necessarily like it, I have to mix her grain and some oil. I’ve been using this product for the last month. My other horse is really sensitive to drastic weather changes (he coliced after a twenty degree temp drop) and this helped him chill out. If anything this product is good to have on hand

I started this product on my nervous horse first. He was a hard keeper, and took forever to eat. After a couple of weeks on this via calm, he has relaxed a lot, and is putting on weight, and finishes his food in good time. He must have needed it! My other horse is just the opposite, as far as food goes, but was a bit of a fence patroller. Since using the Via Calm, he also is more relaxed, and does not pace the fence... I would say it is a win-win. (They are both 21 year old Icelandics)
