The 544 Solvent Resistant Detailing Brush features densely packed, 2" long natural hog hair bristles that are soft enough to protect delicate surfaces while being tough against solvents. Its 8" wooden handle allows for deep reach, making it perfect for cleaning and detailing intricate areas like lug nuts and rims.

I like it. First brush I've ever bought for cleaning purposes.
Nice soft bristles. Really helped clean a off-white leather sofa cushion. Used this for a 45 min period. Liked the ergo grip and the flex from brushes onto the surface. The reflex from the bristles felt good as I bended and rotated around the leather during the cleaning process.I do have 2 things I'm not happy about. First, is the metal sleeve that is attaching the bristles to the wooden handle wasn't secured properly. So with every motion I made I would hear a knocking sound. Secondly is the amount of bristles that released while using the brush. Now this occurred in the first 20 mins of continuous brushing. . The remaining timeframe no other bristles came loose, so possibly just initial release of the odd loose bristle.**June 2016** UpdateSo far, have lost 4-6 bristles since after my initial review. I notice the metal sleeve starting to rust where the metal is punctured to grasp onto the wooden handle.Overall this is the only 2 things that give it a overall 4/5 stars. Thanks for reading and I'll update as I continue using this AES brand brush.

Worth What You Pay
First let's dispel any notion that this is a "boars hair" brush, it's not. It's clearly synthetic. That being said it's made well enough to hold up while cleaning surfaces. I bought it primarily to detail my cars, particularly emblems, crevices, and trim, and as far as I can detect it isn't scratching/swirling the paint; I've used it on a black non-metallic Mercedes E250 and a silver 991 Carrera 4S. As for other concern it does shed some hairs but not as many as to be a particular concern, I've rubber banded the top of the bristles and it's seems to have mitigated the problem, for the most part.

Works, but quality is lacking a little
So, there are 2 staples that help hold that metal binder to the wooden handle. One of the tines on one of the staples didn't make it through and into the wood, so it was bent and sharp. I just did my best to flatten it out with some needle nose pliers and then wrapped some electrical tape over it to cover the sharp edge. After that was taken care of, I tried to use it with the Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner, to clean some leather seats, and it just wasn't stiff enough. I ended up taking some more electrical tape and wrapping it down from the metal piece, around the brush bristles, down to where there was only about 1 inch or so of the bristles showing. The brush is quite a bit bigger than I thought - 10-12" long, probably, with approx. 2" long bristles. To get the brush to work better and stop shedding bristles, I used some electrical tape, which should hold up pretty well. After reading reviews, I kind of knew what I was getting into, and fixing any issues wasn't too bad, but I gave this 3 stars because of the poor quality and that stupid staple... lucky I didn't cut myself with it before I noticed it.

Poor build quality after years of use
This boars hair brush scratches black chrome rims or any liquid chrome finished rims. Metal band has a sharp corner that can stick out after the brush is old.Wouldn’t recommend this brush again and not sure if it’s genuine boars hair.Stick with detail factory, Carpro, or Koch chemie brushes

Great cheaper option for detailing your car
I was nervous about buying this brush to use to clean the interior of my car's leather seats. I saw the other reviewers posts saying that they received a very low quality brush that was not secured properly. Mine was great. The metal piece was tightly secured and I did not notice any stray bristles coming off while cleaning my seats. I think its well worth the gamble to first try this brush rather than one of the $20+ boars hair brushes.

Great for dusting guitars...
A previous reviewer said the bristles were synthetic. Not on the one I received--looks like boars head bristle to me. Works fine to dust car interior, but I keep it in my apartment, and use it as an all-purpose apartment dusting brush. It's great for dusting under the strings, and everywhere else, on guitars or other stringed instruments.

Great engine detailing brush
This thing worked quite well when I was cleaning out my engine bay, the only downside to this brush that I have encountered is, at times depending on the use, some of the hairs can come loose and fall off. I only noticed like one or two separate themselves from the rest. Otherwise I personally think this is a great tool and will most likely get another one after mine is in need of replacement.

Nice brush that does an excellent job on the interior ...
Nice brush that does an excellent job on the interior of my car. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the brush is very large. I with I could get the same size brush with a smaller handle. I have trimmed one of the two that I purchased so that I can get into smaller spaces a little more easily.
