improved signal, happy with the purchase!
All parts easy to install! been using for a while and come back to comment. installed this outdoor digital amplified HDTV antenna on the side of my house, and the performance has been excellent so far. Setup was straightforward, and once mounted at a higher point outside, the signal strength improved significantly compared to the indoor antenna I was using before.

This One Works Best!
This antenna works for me in that I can receive the ABC (channel 7 in NY/NJ area) and PBS now. For the past ten years I have bought 3 antennas like the one in the photo. Each of them lasted about ~ 3 years. They are decent antennas. I can get most of the channels except ABC and PBS channels. I have my antennas on my deck. I live about 35 miles southwest of the Time Squares of Manhattan. I’m very happy that it can receive ABC and PBS channels for me now. I definitely recommend it over the other type as show in the photo.

2 Missing Mount Screws, yet got over 100 channels
This was easy to assemble. Though, The mount was missing 2 screws. Luckily, we had similar screws in our tool box. Still, this should not be a thing. Everything should come with this Antenna, and maybe an extra part. The instructions showed that there should be 4 mounting screws, yet there was only 2. That is why I gave them 4 Stars, otherwise it would be 5. I bought this for my grandma, to get reception in her bedroom. She only wants Antenna channels. She is old school. She use no internet or smart phone. She lives a ravine, so she needed a good one. We set it up, and then plugged everything in. I pointed where the antenna was to get a good reception. When I click the power on the remote, it gave a little vibrate. I go outside, I saw that the antenna moved for better reception. My Grandma got over 100 channels, and the one she wanted, good picture. Fit in the right place. Good cable quality.

Make the most of what you spend...
I received the package in good condition, no signs of damage, and promptly shipped... unfortunately, after putting together the antenna, mounting it to my home, and running the cable along the eaves of my roof, I sadly realized the motor doesn't work at all... all cables are installed in reference to the instructions, nothing mistreated or crimped, but it's just a no-go... the box lights up when I use the remote, but nothing ever happens... it's my opinion that 40 ft. Of cable, combined with the length the signal has to go throughout your home to various tvs, Is just too far for the power signal to travel to actuate the motor....although I've never heard of this setup of power for a rotator motor running through an ordinary coax cable, maybe a signal amplifier might help, but after reading other's comments about the various antennas using this kind of rotator motor, that the motors aren't worth producing......You know the old saying, you get what you pay for, well, i had the option to get a very similar one for as cheap as $ 24, but i opted for the $ 89.95 model, hoping to pull in the 200 mile range it boasted of... fortunately for me, I have a very clear path towards Houston, found the sweet spot to adjust the anntenna to, ( by repeatedly climbing the ladder, dropping down the antenna mast to a point i can reach the antenna , then setting up the mast again, and re-scanning until i found 79 clear channels....keep in mind tho, I was receiving 54 channels before, using an old set of rabbit ears, with a broken mast, sitting on a table on my front porch with the cable run under my front door....update on this purchase…. The antenna rotator did not work straight oit of the box…. Will not move the antenna even one inch…. It started out getting good signals at first, the highest # being 96 channels at one incedent. As time went by, it git weaker and weaker, and now I’m having to turn the antenna naually with a broom handle no less than ten times or more per day…. This damn thing is going to give a stroke….its a piece of crap, and no where near worth what i paid for it ( $89.95 ) Run ! Run far away from any possibility of buying this worthless unit….

Distance Variables with performance
I mounted the antenna approximately 30 feet above the ground for my best line of sight opportunity towards local network stations. This was most important. I used online station locating websites per my home address. All stations were between 40 to 50 miles in distance and 95 percent of them were very close in pointing azimuth. The motor worked as advertised making and testing directional movements. There are many variables to consider in what is actually physically possible with distance with reception claims. The actual network broadcast stations vary in design (not all equal) with favorable frequency assignments and broadcast FCC power outputs. This is a variable that may limit the best quality of signal especially during sunset times and of course poor weather conditions if beyond 40 miles in range. With all considered for my location and line of sight performance I would suggest a more modest max distance rating of 45 miles in expectations especially if you’re looking for 100 percent reception 24 hours a day. Overall I believe the antenna is preforming good with my installation on major network towers. Bottomline a realistic outdoor antenna average performance rating in my opinion. As always a good opportunity to research radio frequency antenna fundamentals with your local environmental variables to set your expectations.

Antenna, direction, control motor
I found that I got a stronger signal with this antenna in my previous one. Some reviews indicated that the rotating motor did not work. I found on this one that it works fine. Provided you install the direct line from the antenna the control box without going through a splitter. The TV 2 port can then go to a splitter and different TVs.

So easy to put together, we utilize it in the house till the snow melts to put it outside properly up on a antenna tripod. So far so good even with it being inside in the basement we have received more channels than we thought we would. Can't wait to see what other channels we get when its outside. Highly recommended.

The Antenna is made for the U.S. not Australia. It doesn't work. So no point in selling this here. All we want is a power box as this is the only thing that doesn't work. However they won't sell it separately. It is erected and hard to get down. I'm trying to get a power box. I have sent emails and I can't get any help. Not happy.
