Background I previously used a highly rated, very popular vitamin C for about 1.5 years, so I have a clear baseline for how these typically perform. Application This is where it stands out. My previous vitamin C was hard to spread, so I ended up using more than necessary just to get full coverage. This one glides on effortlessly, spreads evenly, and immediately solves that issue. I use significantly less product. No drag, no sticky finish. Formula (Why It’s Different) This uses L-ascorbic acid (the active form of vitamin C) in a water-free formula, which is generally more stable and effective than many common versions. That likely explains the better spread and efficiency. Formula Feel Feels more refined than what I’ve used before. It layers cleanly with the rest of my routine and hasn’t caused any irritation. Results (So Far) Too early to evaluate dark spots or firmness, but the formulation and application both suggest a higher-performing product. Bottom Line Strong first impression. The delivery of this product was initially weird and difficult but as a licensed esthetician, this Vitamin C itself is the best one I have ever used. Not only is the ingredients list incredibly minimal, it’s also fragrance free, very acne safe, and one of the most stable forms of Vitamin C that I’ve found that is affordable and potent!!

This is genuinely the only vitamin c my skin likes, every other one felt way too harsh on my skin. I love this because it's gentle.

Very gentle and non irritating vitamin C. I love that it doesn’t smell bad like so many other Vit C serums do. It’s almost more of a cream or lotion than a serum, actually. On my second bottle. Good stuff. Great company.

As other reviewers noted, this product does sting. I have been using just over 2 weeks. For the first week and a half or so, it would sting my skin slightly but now that my skin has gotten used it, there is no sting at all. The product consistency takes some getting used to because it is a silicone base and has very slippy feel. I use 1 pump in one hand and take half of the product and quickly spread to one half of my face with my other hand and then spread the rest of the product on the other half of my face and use any remaining product on my neck. Since I haven’t used it long term, my initial results so far are that my forehead texture is improving and over all redness in my skin is reducing and improving the brightness in my complexion. I am experiencing a small amount of skin purging and have had some spots appears on brow line but they are quickly healing. I do not have issues with hyperpigmentation or melasma, so I cannot comment on its effectiveness for treating these skin concerns.

I hate the oily greasy feel of a lot of vitamin c serums. This one has a nice texture that is more like a cream, but it dries to a satin finish. It feels sooooo smooth. Literally like satin. I'm not a "glass skin" fan because it just feels sticky. But this texture is perfect. And the encapsulated delivery system and pump packaging means the active ingredient will still be active by the time it gets to your skin. It is strong and if you don't tolerate Vit C well, then maybe try a different one.

i love this product! it has a really nice velvety smooth finish. definitely be aware that it’s a high concentration of actives and can be irritating. i have sensitive skin but i built up to this using a 10% vitamin c first, worked really well! no complaints, good product and good value

I have dry sensitive skin with a few acne scars and comedones from months ago. I used this product for just two days and I already see major improvement on my acne. No tingling except in broken skin and absolutely no irritation. Trust me when I say this. My skin is sensitive even to some of the gentlest ingredients like centella and Niacinamide in high percentages. But l-ascorbic acid doesn't irritate me at all, especially this serum and Dr.Brenner. I love that this serum has both water soluble, as well as fat soluble antioxidants, giving you complete protection. This has 10% l-ascorbic acid, 5% THD, and 0.5% Q10. Not easy to formulate these three together. If you use water to dissolve l-ascorbic acid, it will make the product oxidize faster. If you use oil to dissolve THD, it may break you out. Using silicones is a genius move stabilizing all three ingredients, while also extending it's shelf life by a year, while leaving behind nothing but the ingredients on your skin after application. It also comes in an airless packaging, which further extends it's shelf life. It has no fragrance or denatured alcohol or essential oils, which is sensible. I also love the novel application of it. It goes on like a cream, but the silicones evaporate in few minutes, leaving behind nothing but the active ingredients. But you gotta give it few minutes before you go in with a moisturizer. People who are complaining about breakouts probably didn't wait for the silicones to evaporate. Love this product. Will definitely repurchase.
