This bag solved about 10% of the drama, which is more than we'd hoped for. (The other 90% will be solved with time and maturity.) Washable, sturdy, and well-built, it takes the gym clothes back/forth with no problem. It also folds down small so that when it is not being used, it can be stuffed into a school backpack. It's not the case, the "front" of the bag is solid, the "back" of the bag, worn against the back in the model picture, is mesh. I don't know what purpose this really serves. Holds enough (for me) to travel long weekends. Some threads along zipper have frayed interfering with smooth movement but simply snipped them away and works fine. Again this is a inexpensive bag but it works fine and conforms with airline personal item requirements.
