Perfect fit for old Craftsman garden tractor
My 1998 Craftsman (Husqvarna made EZ3) was bogging down in tall grass and eventually it got to the point where the blades would never shut off. I replaced the switch, thinking that was the cause for the blades running constantly, but nothing changed. After some troubleshooting I realized that a bad PTO clutch would make the blades keep spinning. So I decided to shop for a new mower since this one is getting old and I didn't think the clutch would help with the bogging down. It turns out new tractors cost double what they used to for an entry level tractor. I can see spending $1000 for a new cheapo mower, but $1800 for the cheapest Yard Machines or Murray mower just seems stupid in my mind. So I broke down and bought the clutch. Let me tell you, this not only solved the blade shutoff problem, but now my mower cuts through tall grass with no problems. Installation was quick and painless with the included instructions, and it shipped faster than anything I've ever ordered without prime 2 day shipping. I can't speak to the longevity yet, but it's been great mowing with it for the month I've had it on. Tl;dr - Good quality, fit, and value. Fast shipping, and easy install.

Perfect fit for old Craftsman garden tractor!
The electric clutch finally gave in after 21 years. This unit was easy to replace and fixed the problem. Price was good and quality very good - and the old tractor takes down long grass as good as it did 20 years ago. Only difficulty in replacing- breaking the bottom bolt that held the old clutch in place. Standard wrenches and sockets don't make that an easy task.

Seems to work great
Replacing this on my Deere 345 was easy. It was a perfect fit and is much quieter than the old PTO clutch with worn out bearings and brake. The reason this is not a five star review is because the electrical connector came damaged, and I had to remove the wires and insert them into the connector for the original clutch. Other than that, everything seems to work great.

Not a direct replacement for the 140923.
This is not a direct fit replacement for a 140923. Had to modify the wash that holds this unit in place and if i didnt have a lathe it would of been next to impossible. The 140923 has a larger hold in the pully so the wash that hold it in place is over double the size this one needs, Im still adjusting the clutch because it was over tightened from manufacturer. I could not even start my garden tractor because the clutch was so tight. I had to back off all 3 bolts that have springs over 6 turns to even start my tractor and its still is howling, i was unable to insert the feeler gauge to check it when I first got it. I wont send back only because I have to have it to make money as a lawn care professional. I'll get this one adjusted properly but it should have never made it threw Quality control.
