Very slippery a big plus
Challenge: My daughter is non-ambulatory (quadriplegic), thus, we use a ceiling lift to transfer from wheelchair to bed in a supine (laying on back in a sling) position. Once on bed it was very difficult to reposition to the head of the bed. She frequently slid down in the hospital bed (due to alternating air pressure mattress) and it was difficult to lift and move her back up to the head of the bed. Solution: This slide-sheet is very easy to place beneath her via log roll method (example: after changing the incontinence brief). Like being on ice she is easily slid to the head of the bed and the slide-sheet is then pulled out starting by pulling out the corner at the foot of the bed and lastly the part of the slide-sheet at the head. Only then is the head of the bed raised back up. Price: at $26 for the large size slide-sheet, great value. Material: a very thin and slippery material of what appears to be very tough "rip-stop" weave. Storage: the thin material makes it easy to fold and store at the base of the bed within easy reach. Tried draping it over the hospital bed handrail but the slippery nature resulting in it "flowing" off the rail when caregivers brushed by. Again, the slippery nature is a really big plus. Concern: If your patient is sat up in bed some of the comments said "too slippery" as their patient's bottoms would slide out from beneath them. This is understandable, but, for this patient this was not a concern since always transferred in a supine (ceiling lift sling) position. Durability: this review will be updated to see how well the "slippery" properties remain after repeated washings. At $26 price point it is a bargain even if we have to replace each month to prevent caregiver back and arm injuries.

Saves your back!
My mother is in a wheelchair and we transfer her to bed using a "Sit to Stand" which is an amazing machine but still need to "turn" her from a sitting position to lay in bed. This product allows me to turn her by myself. I put the product on top of the sheets/cotton pads we use for any night time leakage -- I fold the length of the product to make it about 1/2 the length/extra strong for movement/ease to get it out later -- and position it where I will sit my Mom on the bed -- leaving some material around her so I can shift her once I have turned her to a flat position. Once I have her sitting in bed, I put my right arm around her back and the left arm under her knees -- and then twist her into a flat position. I then can use the material around her to adjust her to middle/straighter position. The material is wonderful! It slides out from underneath her smoothly after I have adjusted her to a comfortable position -- and doesn't cause skin issues as it is very thin (yet very strong to move her!) and you can slide it out from underneath her nighty/adult diaper with minimal effort. I used to use a garbage bag, which was a 1-time use, not as strong, and didn't work as good as this material. (Plus I can wash this product and it washes/dries well!) It seems expensive but it has saved my back -- and I think my back is worth $24!! Plus I move Mom quickly into position so she doesn't get upset/time to worry (as she knows she cannot turn herself/nor help me at all) THANK YOU FOR THIS PRODUCT!!

Good transaction
This is a handy positioning tool to help someone move in bed or recliner. Works best in a twin to full size bed. Great price, but buy 2 or 3 of them in case 1 becomes soiled, you have another to use while you launder the first.

Perfect and sturdy, easy to ckean and it dry quickly.
Good to use for move up the patient in the bed, good for heavy resident. Help protect the bed from liquids. Good for patient care. Long enough for 5 to 6 + feet high of the patient. July,2024. CA-USA

Absolutely needed for one-caregiver repositioning of a very weak caregivee
Because of a surge of Covid-19 cases locally, my 97-year-old mom was released from the hospital after a bout of sepsis stable, but incredibly weak and with a blood pressure around 200/100. I did not know how to get her back to the head of her hospital bed when she'd slide down towards the foot without help, something incredibly hard (but not impossible) to find over Thanksgiving weekend for just five-minutes-a-day task during a local second peak of the pandemic. I watched Youtube videos, but nearly all were for long term care facilities where a second carer to help with the repositioning is readily available. But through Youtube I learned of the existence of slide sheets and how to use them. I first used an extra big, extra sturdy garbage bin liner for proof-of-concept. Mom was not keen about being placed on a big black garbage bag, even temporarily, but when I put it under her, raised the foot of the bed, and started tugging the bag at her shoulders, she and the bag slid towards the head of the bed. Success. But it ripped quickly and I wanted a real slide sheet. I ordered one that was too short (although I used it to help her feet slide) because it was her favorite color. And then I ordered this. She is much stronger now (and her blood pressure soon was enviable with medication). But I still use this occasionally. I am very pleased with this product. It machine washed and drip dried nicely. Just be sure to not leave it on the floor. It is very slippery. I told the discharge planner at the hospital and the retail medical supply store in the hospita's atrium that the next time they release a suddenly weaker patient to a solo caregiver, even if experienced, be sure to send them home with one of these. It makes an impossible task possible, almost easy.

Too short, hard to grip and full elderly grandmother (doesn't weigh much), hard to place underneath
I bought this because I thought it would help with moving my newly bedridden grandmother. I am trained in patient positioning but I thought this would make it easier for my grandmother so she wouldn't have to assist much in her weakened state and I had hoped it would make it easier for one person to move her. (No matter how much training you have this is still difficult when done alone. Pros: *Seems durable enough-Pulling and tugging on it didn't seem to cause any rips or tears. Even with a a very thin material it seemed strong enough. *Pulling it out from beneath her wasn't too difficult but that was about the only thing I like from it. (Maybe I can just use it as a table cloth for magic tricks so I can pull it out without moving anything. A very small side table) Cons: *The material is feels just like a windbreaker or a tent you could inflate with a fan. I wonder if I could have just bought that material for a cheaper price and gotten enough material to completely the area beneath my grandmother. *It is NOT easier-The material on the sides are too short to really be able to get a good grip on it and it was hard to do with one person. I had to keep getting assistance with it and even with that it didn't make it any easier since it was hard to get a good grip to pull her up or move her to the side. *Positioning was hard since it never really "lined up" well. The two piece were a little off and they had to be touching each other in order to make it easier to move her. It was hard to place it under by un raveling it down from her head under her pillow. It is just not long enough on the sides and we were struggling to unravel it so we had to use the log roll method. *Price this was the largest size available that didn't have a waiting list and my grandmother is 4'8 and not that heavy so I thought it would be enough but it wasn't this size was more for a child. It was the second to the largest size so I thought it would be big enough, it wasn't. *Weight -I tried moving a 98lb child before see how well it worked and it still made positioning difficult. Conclusion: *I just wasted money and now I have a piece of material that is just sitting their wasting space. We just kept using positioning sheets to move my grandmother it was easier, cheaper, and more comfortable. I can also leave the sheet underneath her and I don't have to worry about constantly moving her to place it underneath her and to remove it.

Caregiver's Lifesaver
We had already purchased a similar item for help in getting my husband better situated in the car and wondered if they had one to help adjust a person in bed. Now I can move my husband in bed without assistance. It's also relatively easy to get it out from under him once he is situated. Such a simple solution to a difficult problem. Definitely worth the buy!!!

Works like a charm!
I had back surgery and needed not to “twist” when getting in/out of bed. This was an amazing tool! My friend recommended after her back surgery and I sent one to my friend for her back surgery!!! So many back surgeries…. Only thing I didn’t love is that it isn’t very “breathable” meaning I was very sweaty when I slept on it. Both my friends used one in their car as well, I didn’t need to. Passed it on the my MIL after surgery (thankfully, not her back as well) so my FIL can help move her easily. We called it my slick-slide! Highly recommend.
