Seiko STX5 Clip-On Chromatic Tuner

so far, so good. I gave it 4 stars based on my past experience w/Seiko products. Let's see if it measures up...

Not a bad little tuner for the money. For a couple of bucks more, I might prefer the heavier and somewhat better-made Seiko STX-2 model, but this STX-5 model is just as accurate and just as functional for a few bucks less. Its an ideal size and weight for smaller applications like the ukulele, mandolin or banjo, and would be perfectly suitable for 99% of the consumers out there including guitarists.

Works precisely and quickly on all my acoustic and electric guitars. Never seems to have trouble with the low E string like many cheaper tuners seem to. I'll never tune using pedals or microphone based tuners again!This is well made with typical Seiko precision, but not sure if it would stand up the rigors of stage or professional use. I would like to see the swivel joint on the clip made a little more sturdy but for my home use it is perfect and I think it will last for many years.

This is one of the worse clip-on tuners I have ever tried. It's slow. On/off is hard to reach. It's clipped loosely. And low E rarely registers. Forget alternate tunings. Compared to a Snark, it's garbage. Returned
