Hiding in plain sight
While not a serious collector, I own and enjoy a variety of fine writing instruments. I often shop websites as well as brick-and-mortar stores for a new pen or mechanical pencil to try out. I've owned Parker Jotter pens before. I remember a metal-barrelled one I did not like because the grip was tiresome. I also had one of these plastic-barrelled ones but don't remember using it or where it's gone off to. When shopping, I often came across the Jotter pens. Because of previous experience and the notion that a $10 pen would be neither disposable nor special, I just overlooked them. Recently, during another browsing session, I again encountered some Jotter pens and they came into better focus: legendary status, simple beauty, good reviews, compatible with a world of refill options, and a price that would allow me to carry the pen without the anxiety of losing it. Upon receiving the pen, I was delighted by the writing experience. The grip on the plastic barrel is quite comfortable and suitable for extended use. The Quink cartridge makes for smooth contact with the paper. I may occasionally switch out to a gel refill for darker print. I like the heavy click mechanism and the fact that the plunge button is sprung even after the pen tip is extended. The metal ring on the tip of the barrel is a good idea; it will prevent the hole from wearing or stretching which would make it sloppy around the cartridge tip. The 5" length of the pen is also welcome. It conveys a "cuteness" and the clip will fully engage in any shirt pocket. Bottom line: my red Parker Jotter is now one of my favorite carry pens.

Great pen
You can’t go wrong with these pens. They feel good in the hand. I use medium point and it flows beautifully. I have three!

My favorite Pen!
Parker Jotters have been great for as long as I’ve been buying them — since the 1980s. (Yes, I’m old, ya dang whipped’snappers!) So, if you are looking for a great writing and sketching pen, that will not skip or stop working, this is your pen. And it’s refillable! Yay! Now run along, kiddies, and stop bothering me! 😜

Good pen!
Depending on how large your hands are, can feel quite small. However, outside of that it writes well and adds that overall professional look.

Read negative reviews before you pull the trigger on this one
I bought this Parker pen, because of my fond memories of using a Parker "T-Ball Jotter" in the 1960's. This version has all of the drawbacks mentioned by some of the other reviewers (too short, too light, feels cheap) plus one not mentioned: the "medium" cartridge it comes with is more like a "fine"; too thin and wimpy for me. I'm disappointed, especially since it doesn't write as well and as comfortably as a Bic or the free pen I picked up at the deli.

Excellent quality and value
Parker pens have become a favorite of mine, both for the quality of the pen and the style. The pen includes a medium blue ink cartridge that works great with no skipping. This is my second Parker Pen, the first one is the Parker 1953182 Jotter Pen, Steel and Gold, Ball Point, which is slightly heavier, 11.5 grams vs 14 grams. Both accept the same refills which also come in black ink. For the price, these pens are a steal, and should last for years.
