A lot of people are saying that the pieces broke easily… while it is a more delicate wood (balsa I think), if you are careful you shouldn’t have an issue. There was only one piece that cracked which was the heart at the top, and that’s because I was being careless when putting it together. It was easily glued back in place and you can’t even tell I damaged it. If you are not detail oriented and delicate with projects like this, then you might not enjoy the process as much.If you are creative and like crafting, you’ll love this project and you really should buy it!! I used Ohuhu alcohol marker, Sakura white gel pen and Posca white paint pen for all of the design. I didn’t have to sand anything to make the pieces fit, although some pieces connected far easier than others. It’s not perfect, but for the price you really can’t complain. For a more personal touch, I do encourage coloring the pieces to make it unique. Watercolor paints should work well too (I colored everything before assembly) but if you want to use acrylic it will affect the way things fit together, so keep that in mind.I just purchased the airship. I took my time with it and was able to complete it in a few hours. One note, the wheels move but not as freely as a toy matchbox car, for example.
