Very easily over looked and mistaken as a makeup item. Which is exactly the while reason I purchased this for my gf. Even holding it in my hand up close with the cap off, it still looks like some sort of makeup spray. If I didn't know of this product, I probably would have sprayed myself with it trying to figure out what it was. On that note, keep This away from kids. On the Side of the spray it says "MACE" vertically in bold so unless u really read it and think about it. Its the perfect defense item to have in someone's purse.

This is super cute and looks like a little perfume spray bottle. However, I wish the lid did not slip off so easily. I won't be able to just toss it in my purse, as I'm afraid the lid will pop off and I'll spray myself on accident. Further, I have a 7 year old daughter and 2 year old son. She and I were able to talk about mace and how dangerous it is, but I could still see that twinkling in her eye, wondering just HOW BAD it would hurt! My son would definitely spray this all over if he got a hold of it. I realize that this is true about most mace containers, but this one is so cute it's actually a little enticing. I'm also a bit concerned about a babysitter or grandma just happening to spray this perfume to see what it smells like! Having said that, it clearly says "MACE" on the container.All-in-all, I probably would not buy it again because it's not very practical to toss in my purse. The only way it's going to be of use is if someone breaks into my house and I don't have time to grab the shotgun. Otherwise, I don't think it will be as useful as I had imagined.

Pretty simple story. With all the crazies out there, I carry but my wife would rather not so.............makes me feel better that she has some line of defense against the people that are out there to hurt, rob or play the knock out game. At 74 years of age, we'll try to protect each other in different ways. Right size and I hope she never has to use it.

I haven't had a use for it as of yet, however the lid comes off all the time in my purse. I tried spraying it and it's pretty hard to spray, and the nozzle comes off as well. I'd try to return it if I hadn't purchased it so long ago. Oh well.

Small amount only allowed in my state. Just hope my little girl never needs it.

Thank G-d she hasn't had to use it, but I bought this product for my girlfriend. It came quickly and looks like a huge lipstick. While it certainly is larger than a regular lipstick I don't think anyone would recognize it as mace anyhow, so the disguise works. I scraped off the Mace logo with a knife and now it is more stealth. Overall, I feel safer knowing she has some king of defense with her at all times, personally I carry 8 knuckles on me at all times for self-defense.
