Only repels ants. Can't kill them.

I had ants going all over my kitchen. Aptive Environmental came sprayed the outside and placed this powder where the ants are seen coming out from under the kitchen window. The ants just moved to come in from further down the window base that does not have the powder. When they come towards the powder, they just turn back and totally avoid this powder. So, it is effective in repelling, but totally useless in killing the ants nor the queen in the nest.
