This is an expensive CPU. I returned it and purchased the Core i7-4930k instead.

This one is difficult to rate because I returned it without breaking the seal on the box. Soon after I ordered this CPU, I read some reviews that indicated that the CPU that is one step down from this, the Core i7-4930k - 3.4 GHz, was probably a better choice. I returned the 4960 and ordered a 4930.I paid $999.99 for the Core i7-4960X. The Core i7-4930k was just a bit more than half the price ($544.00). I couldn’t see how an additional $456.00 was worth an increase in speed of only 0.2 GHz. In addition, I am overclocking my CPU and it appeared that the choice for overclocking was the 4930. I currently have it running at 4.6 GHz on liquid cooling.In summary, I am very happy with the Core i7-4930k and with the extra money that I did not spend.
