Great for fire tv
This works as expected. My fire tv doesn't have any way to connect to my old surround sound system so I took a chance and bought this when I found out that the fire tv had bluetooth.I connect my fire tv to the HK adapt using bluetooth and the HK adapt I connect it using a 3.5mm aux cord. That combo works great for me and it saved me hundreds of dollars on upgrading my sound system which still sounds great but is just missing modern connections and lacks wireless.I am very satisfied with this device and recommend to anyone in the same situation.

Very difficult to get it to work with wifi
I got it on promo for 15 and can't complain. However, as other customers mentioned, it is very difficult to get it to work with wifi. WPS button is the only choice for this device and got it connected to my network but all the Harman Kardon apps, android or iphone, are unable to find it. Bluetooth works just fine like any other device and for now this is ok for me. I just read another user review where he mentions he could get it to work via wifi so I will try to explore more options another day.

Impossible to use, even for an Engineer!
Very poorly designed user experience. The manuals shipped with the product are vague and unhelpful. The downloadable manuals are batter but indicate a much older version of the app so they are of no help in establishing communication with the product. The app, in an attempt to be simple, is very non-user friendly. There is no indication of what selections are relevant to the Adapt product except the Adapt+ which, incidentally is NOT the one to choose.I spent nearly a day trying to get this thing connected over wifi without using WPS and I am a very experienced engineering and IT professional.I would consider the user experience to be deplorable for a product from a company of this quality. I felt like I had bought some off brand Chinese stuff in which case I wouldn't expect much.I contacted Harmon Kardon support which claims to have a 24 hour response time. I was very clear about my problem and need. The response was several business days and 5 real days later. Their response "Thanks for contacting us I have attached a copy of our manual". Unfortunately that was totally unhelpful and I specifically mentioned the lacking of that very manual in my original query.Harmon Kardon should be ashamed of themselves for providing a product with sub par documentation, sub par app, and sub par support in a rather competitive space.

What also needs to be mentioned it's slightly delayed when playing in sync mode over WiFi.
Due to WiFi installation hardness, which took me forever.., I took out 1 star, but with a little help from customer service I managed to hook it up to WiFi and now buying one more unit to complete setup. Bluetooth works though. And you have to find correct app in store and be aware that adapt device not there. You have to use speaker one instead. It also will require update, after Wich you have to reconnect device. I hope I save someone trouble. Good thing you can hook them up in party mode so they all play instantly from the same source at the same time. Woo. Cool. I did it.

Superb blue tooth adapter
If you have legacy equipment (ie, receivers or amplifiers without a built in bluetooth receiver,) this is the item for you. Don't bother with anything else - I like mine so much that I bought another for another room. Easy setup and use - just plug it in, connect it to an aux input on your receiver, and link to your ipad or android device. Cordlessl, seamless listening to your playlists through your stereo - highly recommended

Bought two of these. Neither lasted more than 3 hours of playback
These were either both lemons or it's a poorly built product but both stopped working with less than 3 hours of music playback. I bought 2, 1 for a gift, and 1 for myself. The person I gave it to let me know it died the first day.

Great for the price!
Works great for the price, less than 20 is what i would pay for it as there are other devices that provide the same functionality. Connectivity to WiFi is a bit convoluted and had to do some trial and error. Quick Setup/Documentation could be better in this regard as it is not intuitive. If it doesn't work try again, use the WPS option in the WiFi router.

Good, cheap bluetooth audio gateway.
As others have written, this device has more features available to it if you have an all H/K setup. Otherwise, it makes a for a decent bluetooth gateway for any A/V receiver or amplifier. It allows me to sit on my couch with my el-cheap-o Android tablet and stream music or whatever to my old school receiver on the other side of the room.Sound quality is as good as your media and range is decent. It uses a generic micro-USB input for power and 1/8" stereo headphone jack for analog output. Get a decent cable to connect it to your stereo/receiver and enjoy your recordings. My primary gripe is that the apps are complete garbage and I haven't figured out how to disable the WiFI function. If I get that sorted out, I'll edit my review.
