The creative alchemy was immediate, as 15 epochal tracks ("Dreams," "Say You Love Me," "The Chain," "Don't Stop") from Fleetwood Mac and Rumours here attest. They could have arguably repeated that mega-successful formula for a decade, but chose a more musically expansive tack, represented "Sara," Think About Me" and the other core tracks drawn from the ambitious Tusk. While the band's megahit luster faded as the solo careers of Buckingham and Nicks took flight in the '80s, their power was still apparent in the dusky-bright pop of Christine McVie's "Hold Me" and "Little Lies." This is a two CD disc with a short biography of the band. There are 36 of their best songs. A few a live versions, but all of them have great sound quality. This is a wonderful CD and the price is great for what you get.

The best "Greatest Hits" collection representing "Fleetwood Macs" new line up post Peter Green years!
If you want the complete "Fleetwood Macs" Greatest hits you will have to pick up what is now called Peter Green's Fleetwood Macs greatest hits along with this collection of songs! The band Fleetwood Mac had a Great career in the U.K. long before adding John McVie's Wife Christine & adding the two for one couple Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham! This collection of songs does a great job covering Fleetwood Mac after there 10th album! It is always a difficult task when asked to put together a Greatest hits Or Anthology of any kind with a band that is so prolific putting out decades of great music! Now once your aware that you wont get old classics like "Green Manalishi" or "Oh Well" or any of Fleetwood Macs powerhouse blues band material & realize that this just covers their Pop Rock years then you can fairly assess this collection of great songs! Out of all the Greatest hits type collections I would say this is the best so far! Music is an art form & being such is subject to individual taste which makes it all the harder to make a greatest hits! I usually dislike adding live songs to collections like this but the sound board recordings are so good that it doesn't sound out of place among the other songs & this is a good thing! This collection doe's a great job capturing all the popular fan favorites & adds newer songs from this awesome band! The sound quality is top notch & as I stated before this is the best collection of song's representing the band after the addition of Christine, Stevie & Lindsey if you add this two C.D. set with "Peter Green's Fleetwood Macs Greatest hits" You really have a collection of songs that show case this band long successful career & amazing transition from the powerhouse blues band they were in the beginning to the Radio friendly Pop powerhouse they became in the 70's! Very few bands can boast of such a successful transition in genre's as Fleetwood Mac! But if your looking for a good greatest hits look no further than this two disc collection of songs.
