I wanted to give my ‘04 Fender MIJ Geddy Lee signature a facelift, so I figured I’d give this a try. For the price, if it didn’t fit, I wouldn’t be out much. This pickguard fit like a glove. Like, it was really tight around the neck and took a little bit of persuasion to get it to sit flush with the body. That’s not a bad thing IMO, as I’d rather have to shave it down for a good fit than have large gaps. However, it wasn’t necessary. I swapped my control plate out a while back for a 920D control plate, and the previous genuine Fender pickguard didn’t sit flush with it. That issue is no more with this pickguard. Some of the screw holes lined up perfectly and some didn’t, but those were barely off center. This is advertised for a standard or MIM, so I expected a little bit of variance from what I had. I’ve purchased other Musiclily parts before and have been pleasantly surprised with how they all fit and perform given the price point. If you want to spend three times as much on a genuine Fender replacement, go for it, but this works just fine.

It fit perfect, looks great

Easy and great looking upgrade for my 2002 Made in Mexico (MIM) Fender Jazz. I bought a new bass and my old one was getting jealous so I thought it could use a facelift. Enter this snazzy new pickguard, a simple drop-in replacement. Screw holes all lined up nicely and no gaps at the neck pocket or control plate. Space around the pickup is ever so slightly greater than the stock pickguard but isnt noticeable at all. I also replaced the bent control plate and it all lines up very nicely. I was also very pleased to find a new set of screws included as the old ones had rusted. Nice surprise there! Love how the pearloid white looks against the sage green metallic body and I can't believe I waited so long to do this! I'm thinking about buying more in other colors just to change up the look every now and again.

I got this really cheap on sale and it looks really great on my bass! I really can’t complain about this great deal, especially since they say in the description it is only for a Fender. I Knocked a Star off because I had to file a good bit of material off around the fretboard and the part that meets the plate with the volume and tone knobs. Pretty sure the holes would have lined up perfectly if I had done a better job filing but it was close enough to work and my sketchy job isn’t noticeable unless you look real close.

This is my second pick guard from this vendor - the previous one was for a Fender Precision bass. I will give it 5 stars even though I had to “coax” it a bit to make it fit. No cutting or filing needed. Keep in mind that it’s not necessarily the pick guard that’s off a bit. Every guitar is ever so slightly different and with a tight fitting accessory, you might have to navigate it to fit between the neck and metal control plate. Having said all that, the pick guard did fit without alterations and it looks great.

Perfect fit. At first I thought that it was somekind of funky plastic because it was scratching up really quickly and badly. Then I discovered it had a SECOND protective film cover. Peeled that off and voila; fresh sheen.

Me gustó el material y el color. La rigidez es bastante buena y tiene buena textura. Sin embargo las medidas que muestra en comparación con las del bajo no son las mismas. Eso es algo a considerar y puede que no se ajuste perfectamente.

Sehr schickes, hochwertig verarbeitetes Schlagbrett. Die Passform aber etwas abweichend vom Original.

Fits to fender Jazz bass Mexico perfectly!

Super! Ich bin begeistert. Das Pickguard passt perfekt auf meinen Fender Jazz Bass MiM 2019 und sieht einfach nur toll aus, genau wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe - das Teil ist tatsächlich passgenau wie ein Original und die Farbe (Dunkelbraun Tortoise) sieht wirklich schön und edel aus. Darüberhinaus ist der Preis unschlagbar günstig, die Lieferung ging blitzschnell und die Montage war einfach zu bewerkstelligen. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen! Besser geht's nicht.
