And if you did it too early, the "re-heat" feature is great, without toasting it too much over again. The crumb tray pulls out the back for easy cleaning. Also, the toaster is heavy enough, sitting on rubber legs, that it never pitches forward or slips when you turn it on. It's the most gorgeous, fabulous, cheerful looking toaster ever. I'm so glad I bought this one, and not a cheaper version. This elegant one will last forever, and I'll never get tired of looking at it!18 months later; Is it possible for a toaster to break your heart? Well this one is doing just that. I'm stunned to see that I never submitted the review I'd written, but maybe it was meant to be. So others wouldn't have also wasted $80! This is the world's most gorgeous toaster. The stainless finishes are more like chrome, it's so shiny and the red is a beautiful gloss finish as well. Everything about it is gorgeous. Except the toast! It was always a bit slow...but then you had to turn the setting in high to get more than just warm bread. It's barely toasting at all now.
