William Sheppee Saddler Bench

The bench is beautiful at a great price. It is well built and fits perfectly with our decor. Bench color is exactly as pictured. The bench was packed well.

This bench is as pictured....but definitely a darker brown. I decided that I could live with the color, but it has a very strong chemical odor. I wanted this bench for my small entry room, but the fumes continue to be too much! I have had it outside on my covered deck for weeks. The last time I brought it in (a week ago) the off gassing was still overwhelming. I had no idea this odor would linger, or I would have saved the packaging and returned the bench. Today I'm going to put it out in the sun to see if this helps. I have wiped it down with a damp cloth...anything else I can think of would probably damage the leather.

Really like the apperance of this bench. Blends nicely with almost any decor. Has a unique apperance , people comment. Only reason I did not give it a 5 star was because it initially has a very strong odor, probably from the finish used on the wood/leather. It is fading over time and I hope it eventually goes away totally.

This bench did not have the chemical smell others described. It is, however, darker than pictured. There is a more traditional stain on the wood than I anticipated. while I am going to return it due to this, it is a quality item and I recommend it!

It is just the right size and scale for our entryway. Well made, sturdy, with a touch of fun. I am very happy with the quality and style.
