Great bird house
Easy to assemble and solid. Has easy access for cleaning. Good quality and appears this will last a good long while. And very attractive. Good value for the money.

Highly recommend.
Built well, ease of cleaning with side viewing available. Already assembled with good interior features - raised floor and air vents. Exterior has extra protection at entry hole and made of sturdy materials.

Already have neighbors moving in
I already had a different brand of birdhouse and Eastern bluebirds took up residence there this spring. I was disappointed that I had no way to see interior progress (although now I understand that’s a good thing because peeking at a certain point can make the fledgling ms leave to too early.) Anyway… I read that birds may fight over a house if there is only one. So I purchased this one because of the good reviews and the option to see inside. I ordered this March 18 and installed it about a week later facing north. (My understanding is directional preference for bluebirds is east, north, south, west in that order.) Well… here we are April 5th and chickadees have moved in and set up house. The new house is full to the brim of nesting material and no- I didn’t remove the wire like some have — they had no issues with it. If you are new to bird housing, make sure to look up directional preferences of birds. My other house sat outside unoccupied for two years until I read about that. Now I have two, pointed the correct direction and both happily used. Also read up on incubation and fledgling periods for the species you house. You do not want to be peeking in during some critical time frames as it may make the fledglings leave early and put them at higher risk of predation. This is a pretty house and seems to be well made. Price was not crazy and there was zero assembly required. Only time will tell how long it will last but even one season of babies is cheaper than taking the family to the movies so I consider it money well-spent.

A nice nest box with some additions
I am preparing this box for next year. Our last nest box from the same company had a roof that broke off at the overhang. That occurred while the Blue Birds were in it this summer. They were attacked one evening by a large bird. We have hawks and owls and it could have been either. So I have added a shingle to the roof, just stapled it on with heavy duty staples. Also I did not want the box to stand out as much to predators so I stained it. It also needs some weather proofing for our high altitude sun that dries everything out incredibly fast so I have given it one coating of linseed oil, and will give it another. I have added a metal hole guard because of the multiple potential predators that we have. While I was putting the hole guard on the lower third of the predator guard broke off. These boxes look like they are fairly well made but the wood is flimsy as evidenced by the roof breaking. Our last box has only been used for two summers and the wood is very dried out and looks like it could fall apart. The nest boxes are very good as far as having all of the air vents, and the right size of everything. We have Mountain Blue birds and the hole size is fine for them. So in general I like the nest box, but a little sturdier wood would be a good change. I am repairing the predator guard by gluing the wood and wrapping it around the outside with electricians tape. The photo is before those changes.

Perfect Bird House
Thoughtfully designed, well constructed, a good size and reasonably priced. I bought 4. They are currently housing tree swallows (2) and wrens. I’m glad for the predator guards. Lots of crows around, no problems. The front opening makes clean-out convenient. I love them and my feathered friends seem to as well.

Quality Bird House
Nice quality bird house. Thicker wood used than other bird houses that I bought. The side, view window and clean out is awesome. Never had blue birds on my property until I placed two of these along the fence line.

Beware: House Sparrows Love This Home
It’s a solidly built house. No assembly required. Beautiful addition to the yard. I have House Sparrows that have moved into both houses, and am thinking through how to best get rid of them. Bluebirds look longingly on while the invaders build their nest. Chickadees were the first tenants of the backyard house (I bought two), but have ceded control to the cretin sparrows. Thinking I’ll allow eggs to be laid, then destroy them (house sparrows are not legally protected). It will be difficult to remove eggs and nests because l was thinking the viewing panel could simply slide out. Now it seems I will have to take down the entire house, unscrewing it from the hardware I mounted it with. But it will be worth it to rid the world of a clutch of alien species. Maybe the next clutch will be a native species.

Deuxième avis car le premier n' à pas été publié. Trop cher pour un produit abîmé.

Really great birdhouse/nest box. It's well made of a nice quality wood. It has striations cut into the wood to help birds lead up to the exit portal, removable plexiglass viewing pane, mesh at bottom to allow liquid to slip under the nest, easily liftable door for cleaning. And looks nice too. The dimensions are very good. The entrance hole is 1.5" which would allow invasive House Sparrows to enter/nest (and potentially kill any native birds nesting inside), so I just added a slightly smaller portal protector of 1.25" (1-1/4") to allow chickadees, nuthatches and Downy Woodpeckers to enter. Some House Sparrows will enter a 1.25" hole, but it's less likely. I also added a 1.125" (1-1/8") portal protector to a second one of these boxes. Overall, really great product.

Bought 1 of these and so impressed with the quality, I bought another one. Nothing using them yet but they have had Blue Tits and Starlings checking them out. Very happy

Pleasantly surprised. Was hoping they would come not damaged & with all the pieces described and they did. Based on some reviews, was afraid to order this bc some people recieved broken roofs, damaged parts, missing pieces such as the viewing plastic piece. I don't use the viewing piece & wouldn't want to disturb any nesting birds or young anyway. I have 2 on trees but don't know if any birds are using them. No sign of it so far. It's May 15th. Maybe they're yet to be discovered. There's plenty of possible nesters so it remains to be seen.
