The Mesmerize is not a bad option for beginners, offering a comfortable organic shape that feels good in the hand. While the performance is decent, it's not outstanding, but it’s sufficient for learning the basics. The durable plastic construction is a bonus, protecting your hands from dings during practice. However, if you’re considering modifications, be aware that the bearing is somewhat unique and not a simple swap with a standard C-bearing. Overall, it’s a good beginner yoyo, but if you’re looking for something with better performance, especially as you progress, the YoYo King Merlin model offers much better spin time and play, and would be a better choice for those moving from beginner to intermediate or just those seeking a reliable, inexpensive carry-around option that you can have a lot of fun with on the go!

Well balanced and good spins for a $16 yoyo. I'm very happy with mine and would definitely recommend it to a beginner or intermediate player. Remember this is a responsive plastic yoyo.

This is a cool little plastic yoyo. It isn't a super-performer take it to the competition yoyo, but it has a few features that makes this great for a collection. The price, the fact that you can catch it in a trapeze, transfer to the brother, and squeeze one more trick. In other words, you can do BRIEF tech tricks on it. Good for the classic tricks, but beware the round the world. For some reason this does NOT like around the world more than once to twice before pivoting and spinning out. So there is a minor balance issue. Weirdly, it does feel like a rock. The look though is good even though it is just stickers on the side. In the end, I hope they have or make a metal unresponsive one because it would definitely be a winner over this one that FEELS LIKE it wants to be unresponsive.

This is a great yo-yo! Works great for tricks and is easy to use. So far it's durable. Woukd recommend to a friend!

We have gotten this brand before and it was great! but this yoyo vibrates terribly which affects the ability to sleep well and quickly wobbles. dissappointed...
