I had the other device that requires you to flip the red lever. I kept shutting off the vacuum unintentionally. It broke. I thought I'd try this one instead. Genius! the push button is easy to use and it does not turn off if you change the position of your hand. Easy to install and it seems sturdier than the other one.

I love Dyson Vacuums, but why they didn't create a way to lock the trigger on their v11 is beyond me! Thankfully, this company figured out a solution that works flawlessly. The trigger lock slides easily on the trigger. with a flick of the finger you can turn your vacuum on (and keep it on) and with another flick, turn it off. The vacuum is still comfortable to hold while it is in place, and it is easy to remove should you want to go back to the trigger mode. It is so useful to be able to keep the vacuum on without holding the button - especially when using the hose attachments/cleaning your car/using other attachments like the drill dust collector this company makes. So glad to have found this! This little piece of plastic changes my vacuuming game!

Gets in the way. Falls off. Digs into your finger, I might as well just hold the trigger down.

We like our Dyson V6 but your finger gets tired holding the trigger the whole time you are vacuuming. This trigger lock really helps. The lock slides on easily. You can install it in seconds. Just press the side to hold the trigger down. Press the other side to release. I couple of minor issues. Unless you have small hands, there is no place to place your index finger because the trigger is in the way. You just have to rest your finder on the trigger lock. The other issue is that sometimes the lock will slide forward and release the trigger. You just have to push it back. It is held on by friction. I'm hoping that won't be an issue down the road.

I was torn between a 3 and a 4 star. While I think it is a thoughtful product, one must take care to hold the handle of the Dyson vacuum and not accidentally knock this gadget off. It pops off quite easily but it does help when I am mindful that I need to hold the handle a certain way. I guess I can use packing tape to securely tape this to the Dyson.

This button add-on does exactly what it's supposed to do, it keeps the vacuum running without having to keep your finger on the trigger. Just the existence of this cool little gadget had me thinking that holding the button down with your finger must be tiring after awhile, so I bought this. I had not yet received my vacuum. It turns out that the button on the vacuum is super easy to press and hold; like so easy I don't even feel any pressure, so it turns out this button is not necessary for me. The only use I found for it is when using another hose attachment for cleaning out my car. It's nice to activate the button and not have to hold onto anything except the hose.

It works to keep the trigger depressed, but it isn’t comfortable! If you look at the picture you can see it digging into my finger. There is another spot on my finger that is not visible but it’s poking my finger there as well. You can see that there isn’t enough room to place all your fingers below the trigger. I saw a review that said it was comfortable, but not in my opinion. I should have sent it back but I don’t usually do that for inexpensive purchases. I convinced myself I might use it if my finger was injured or arthritic.

I have RA. My hands kill me if held in the same grip for too long. This has relieved the stress on my hand tremendously!

It works for a while but it slips off. We stopped using it.

Very happy with this product! No more sore fingers or cramping hands when trying to hold the trigger down! Sometimes slips forward slightly, however easily shifts back into place.

This trigger lock works well for the V11 Absolute Pro. You just slide it in (you may need to position it properly to ensure it presses the trigger on the Dyson) and press the level and off you go! You will need to put your trigger finger on the lock, or somewhere else, once this is on but that is extremely easy to get used to. For longer cleans, it really makes a difference. Given that it's just a piece of plastic (that you can probably 3D print yourself), the trigger lock is overpriced for what it is but unfortunately, there aren't any other viable alternatives.

Item is idea for my V10 vacuum. Quick to install just slips on and saves me from holding the power button all the time when using the machine.
