It's cardboard. It's in the description, but I didn't read it because I didn't fathom that they would be made of cardboard. They're really cute for themed decor, but I had to return them.

Good for Cheap Decor
These were good for a cheap birthday decor. They added to the red carpet theme well. Pretty flimsy and should only be used as decor.

I was pleasantly surprised. It is larger than I expected. It is perfect as a party favor or to use as a decoration. It is packaged nicely inside a plastic bag. The product is intact and all pieces are in working condition. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

To be useful for filmmaking, a clap board must make a sharp sound that can be synchronized with the visual image. When used, this flimsy plastic item makes almost no sound at all. For this reason, I would not even recommend it for children to play with. I am returning it for a refund, and I am buying another one that is made out of wood.
