Mohu Leaf is working great for my mom! Well worth the investment.....:)
We couldn't afford mom's burgeoning Cable bill and she's a senior and only watches the basic channels anyway. I was surprised at how paper thin the antenna was. We purchased basic internet and phone for mom via Optimum and the installer placed the Antenna high in the window for better reception in mom's 2 bedroom apartment in the north bronx, New York. The Channels were pristine and clear and came in great after scanning all of the channels. But there was a problem. We couldn't get Channel 7 ABC and that is mom's favorite channel! All of the other channels came in great, but Channel 7 and my mom was heart broken. I scanned all the channels again and still no Channel 7. So I put some of my Old school hardware tech skills to work and checked the cable in the back of the TV which was a little loose and secured it in place with some very strong tape. And Channel 7 was trying to come in, but only intermittently and pretty pixelated. So I got mom's ladder and moved the antenna from the top of the window to the middle, all the while moving her window shades and Voila! Now she has Channel 7 ABC, back again. Not only does she have Channel 7, but all of the basic channels and some extra channels where she can watch movies. She's happy as a clam AND her bill is a LOT lower, too. Thank you! Debra

Good indoor antenna
Bought this mohu leaf for our bedroom after trying other indoor antenna. This is the one that works best for us. It is very light and small and easy to put on a wall. Like every antenna, you have to find the perfect spot for it, and you have to ensure that you are in about 25 miles of the towers. Compared to others that I've tried, this one gave me the best reception. Although, I wasn't able to get one of the local channels, it is still a good buy because I was able to pick more channels compared to others that I've tried.

Works great for us!
When we decided to cut cable and stick with Internet-based providers (Netflix, etc.), my husband and I asked ourselves this panic-stricken question: "What about Jeopardy?!" Enter the digital antenna. We had no real extenuating circumstances that would have required us to get anything fancier than the Mohu Leaf Metro. This could not have been any easier to do. We hid the antenna behind our TV because it's not the prettiest thing in the world. The signal quality is spectacular-- I really couldn't believe it the first time we turned it on and did the manual search for channels. We found some 70+! Granted you can't necessarily watch all of them, but it's great knowing we can have all of our local news, network shows and local sports. Our back room basically faces the mountain where our local stations broadcast from (about 10 miles away), so the line of sight works out perfectly for us. Based on where your TV stations broadcast from, your mileage may vary. There are a few websites out there that help you figure out if the signal strength will be strong enough for a digital antenna, so I recommend doing the research first just to make sure.

Small, inconspicuous and ineffective! (Sometimes size may matter!)
The good: (1) this antenna is small and does not occupy much space and (2) it is easy to mount in different locations with push pins or Velcro with adhesive. The bad: (1) it does not perform as well as an old fashioned pair of rabbit ears, (2) if like me you bought it from Amazon's underling, woot!, you can't return this antenna and (3) it is too light to use as a paper weight. Now for my rant against Amazon's current review system. By now, most people are aware Amazon's average ratings are inflated by reviews posted by marketing professionals and reviews posted by individuals getting the products for free or at a discount in return for their "honest and unbiased reviews." However, it is just absurd for Amazon to group all reviews together for this half-sized Mohu Leaf Metro with the original Mohu Leaf and the amplified Mohu Leaf as though they are just different color options of the same product.

Great for UHF, Terrible for VHF
Before you buy this ... * Go to http://disablemycable.com/station-finder/ and check your address. * Are the channels you want listed in green, with the band listed as "UHF"? If so, then this is a great product to get. * Are they green, but the band is "Hi-V"? If so, you MIGHT get a signal if you place the antenna near a window. * Are they green, but the band is "Lo-V"? If so, this is not the product for you. I was really hoping to get WPVI here in Philly with the antenna, but even using an RG-6 cable and placing the antenna near a window in a metropolitan area, the signal was not even close to coming through. Mohu's FAQ states that it picks up VHF signals within 10 miles. However, this doesn't seem to be entirely true. Hence the three-star review. This is a pretty great UHF antenna. And it's a pretty lousy VHF antenna.

Awesome Antenna!
I recently bought the Leaf Metro and had zero problems with it. I've noticed that some reviews say that it helps to have it near a window. My tv is kinda close to a window, so it's working fine. Can't comment on if it would work just as well further away. Besides that, I'm picking up channels in my area that I didn't even know we had, which is nice. Other channels don't come through, and I'm guessing that's because I'm too far away. But I don't care about those since nothing I watch airs on them. I'm mainly concerned with picking up all the network channels that I do follow, which it does easily. The antenna came with with a really long white kinda thick coaxial cable and a few long push pins, so you can anchor it easily to the wall. Also when I was moving some furniture, the reception went a little wonky, but I easily fixed that by moving the cable some. By the way, the floppy pad section has two holes, so you don't have to be concerned about puncturing and damaging it. If you want to test out these types of antennas, I definitely recommend this one, especially since it's cheap.

She is also proud she was able to cut the cord to cable & feels great she isn't spending $1200 a year for TV
We were skeptical about this antenna but decided to try it for $20. My grandmother who lives on a fixed income & in an assisted living community didn't want to deal with the complicated cable companies & pay $100 a month for TV, so we thought we'd give it a shot. She now receives over 20 channels & can usually find something on TV that interests her. She is also proud she was able to cut the cord to cable & feels great she isn't spending $1200 a year for TV. The antenna works exactly as advertised & their website even has a locater where you type in your zip code & they tell you how many channels you would receive & tips for why you might receive more, or less. Would highly recommend! We are getting one for the basement of our rec room & can't wait! [...]

Great antenna. Easy to install and worked with my old Sony Bravia LCD TV. It took me a while to figure out that I needed to turn the Cable setting off on the TV, but that had nothing to do with the Mohu Leaf. I got 25 channels with it in the city. I used the hook and tab stickers to stick to the wall directly behind the TV...I just hope the adhesive will come off the wall okay.
