Q: Are there replacement heads? Mine broke off after my first pull

There are not replacement heads as mine came off in the same way and best way to fix and never worry something pulling off is to take a 12 gauge copper ground wire and loop it to create a new pull head and attach using electrical tape as well as line the wire with electrical tape (* note, make sure wire loops over fish tape and tape tightly with electrical tape) so not conductive and for me it worked very well and never came off.

Q: Has anyone tried it through a dryer vent with a couple of 90° bends?

Don't see why it wouldn't work. It is reasonably stiff yet flexible. I have used it to add wire to a fairly full conduit run with great success. It has less friction than a steel tape and a small enough leader head to make it past fittings and 90 degree bends. One thought, if the dryer vent is the aluminum foil type you may punch through the wall of the vent
