Can this be used with the Wii U?

I really don't know, I have not used my Wii Sport Resort for five years, I experienced problems trying to use Wii Sports Resort.

Is this the machine,disc player or just the disc?

This is just the disc that you put into the machine to play. No controllers are included.

What does it mean by renewed?

It is a game that was previously owned. They restored the disc to it's original state. Sort of the way they use to resurface them. It works just fine and we have not had any issues.

wait whats the difference between certified refufbished and software edition ?

Certified refurbished means that the game was returned and Amazon(or another source) cleaned the disc and wiped any previously stored data to return it to like new condition. The software edition contains only the game software - it does not come with the Wii motion plus which makes these and other games way more fun. If you don't own the Wii motion plus controllers, I highly suggest getting them, because the adapter you can buy to convert regular Wii controllers sticks out of the end of the existing controller making it longer and somewhat wider at the bottom. There is also a Wii Sports Resort game bundle that includes one Wii motion plus adapter.

Excellent

I was worried about ordering this after seeing some review photos but it exceeded my expectations. Not only does it work perfectly, it came with its original case that doesn’t even had a crack. Not a single scratch on the disc. That being said if you’re going to get this game you NEED Wii motion plus remotes or attachments. I saw a couple people say it wouldn’t work and that’s just because they don’t have the right controller.

Literally like NEW!

This item was in perfect, like new condition. We decided to pull out the old Wii console, but our Sports Resort disc wouldn't work. So happy we could get a new one.

Refurbished = Keep Expectations Realistic

The disc was in visibly perfect or near perfect shape. Wouldn't play at all - the home screen recognized the disc as Wii Sports Resort, but when you start the game, entire console would freeze on error screen and you had to turn the entire console off. Multiple attempts, same result each time. Unplayable. That's the chance you take with refurbished tech I suppose.

So wii sports resort works like a charm! I didn't expect it since it refurbished but it did work on my wii u so I'm sure it will work for all of you.
