I bought this because I had an exceptionally hyper kitten who was getting spayed. I needed her to chill out and not rip her stitches. This not only worked to calm her down, make her sleep, and relax her as a kitten, but also as an adult. She is still rambunctious and misses me when I travel. I leave this with her. I spray it around her and her favorite bed/blanket and it calms her down in 10 minutes to the point she is sleeping. It takes a little longer now that she is an adult and she may not sleep fully, but just sit still, but still effective. The scent is not bad, but kind of resembles a cardboard or modeling clay type smell with a hint of plant undertones. I used to work for a vet office where we sold the main competition for this product and this WORKS WAY BETTER. I've never seen a spray like this actually work and this does. So, modeling clay smell or not, it keeps her calm when it matters most. I will be using this as I move a few states away in a couple weeks and have full faith it will be wonderful. It seems to last hours. I can smell it about 5 hours after I use it so I know she can, for sure. As far as value goes, I have used this 1 to 2 sprays at a time for many months (4+) and still have half a bottle. I'd say it is WELL worth the money. I think it works longer and better on fabric. So I put a blanket in her carrier and spray it before travel. It is super easy to use. Just don't spray it on the cat directly.

We run a make shift cat rescue at our home and we take in outside strays around our neighborhood who have been left out over a lengthy period of time in the freezing snow and brutal heat. When we take a cat in, they get immediately taken to our vet to get checked out and to get any medicines they may need. As one can imagine, these cats can get very stressed, they don't know you are trying to help them. I bought this for both my rescue cats and the kitties who have acquired us over the years to spray in the carrier before we leave. Quite surprisingly, this has made a definite improvement in the well being of all our kitties during the back and forth transport to the Vet. It also helps calm them in a multi-family cat house such as ours. Its doesnt work any miracles, but it does seems to calm them a little better in stressful situations. Having 15-ish kitties, we will take any help we can get. I am pleased with the results of this product and have subsequently bought a second bottle as a back up. HOW I USE the PRODUCT: I pump about 2 - 3 sprays in the carrier and on the blanket in the carrier about 3-5 minutes BEFORE I put kitty in the carrier. I take the calming spray with me to the Vet and re-spray the pet carrier with 2 more sprays while the Vet is examining the kittie.

We have a very emotionally messed up cat. We knew that when we rescued her 3 years ago. She came to think about 5 months ago that our leather sofas and chairs are a perfect place to pee. First she did on the floor by the corners next to the sofa—later right on the seats!! We have tried EVERYTHING. This product was the very first thing we tried on the corners, thinking some anxiety was causing this. It didn’t help. Then we moved this product to the CatGenie to hopefully calm her there. Still, it did not seem to help. Next we moved food bowls next to the sofa. That seemed to help. But she still did it. Then we bought SSSCat air sprayers and positioned them to spray in the sofas if she got on them. That really helped. We now keep big boxes on the sofas and put the SSSSCat air sprayers on the top of the boxes. That has stopped this behavior. We are using the SSSCat Sprayers on our dining room table and kitchen counters to train this cat that these places may be “dangerous” and they seem to really work. We are also keeping our screened in lanai door ajar as there is a regular litter pan outside. That may be helping during the day. She does this peeing on furniture at night too. That’s why we’re using the boxes and the sprayers. We’re weary of these boxes on our sofa and chair seats but it’s better than putting this beautiful cat in a shelter. That is what most people would end up doing and the cat would eventually be put down. I’m sure this is why she ended up at a rescue for cats in the first place. We think in time this cat will forget about this behavior and not be tempted to pee in our nice furniture and our living room will someday look normal again without boxes. Meanwhile we have boxes in place to remind her that the sofas and chairs are not a comfortable or safe place to pee. This is working.

I am involved in rescue and for me, this is the superior relaxing spray. There are other brands which cost 3 times as much and don't provide the same effect. This might not be a cure all, but I know it helps. When I spray it, the cats love the area that has been sprayed. They rub it with their faces and start purring. Whenever I have to do a vet run, I spray the carrier about 10 minutes before putting a cat in it. Then I spray a large towel or sheet and let it dry, then drape it over the carrier. If you don't cover your cat carrier when you take them to the vet you should. It is a game changer for them. I definitely recommend this product. I go through a few dozen bottles per year.

This was effective in calming a new kitten, its easy to use & good quality but was surprised how small a bottle this is

Kauft das zeug bloß nicht! Wenn ich könnte würde ich 0 Sterne dafür geben! Es steht drin das die Katze sich beruhigt und das sie nicht dort kratzen tut wo das zeug gesprüht wurde! Ganz im gegenteil meine Katze ist noch auf gedrehter als vorher und kratzer an meinen neuen Sofa erst recht!!! Da frag ich euch (Erfinder) geht es euch noch ganz gut?!
