Weiler 36005 Vortec Pro 5/8" Arbor, 8" Diameter, 0.014" Wire Size, Carbon Steel Bristles, Narrow Face, Crimped Wire Wheel Brush (Pack of 5)

I purchased this for installation on my grinder, but the wire wheel is too heavy for my grinder. The grinder is the problem, not the wire wheel. I bought a lighter wheel and had the same problem. Doubt that my grinder is 3/4 hp as advertised. If it was, the wheels should work.

Worked perfectly on my standard bench grinder. Ordered 2 for the price of 1 if ordered locally. I originally purchased and returned 1 from Menards that was too wide to fit my grinder with the guarding in place. This one worked perfectly. I should be set for years.Update: After using this several times the wire did flare out making me remove the end guard on my grinder again. I have since modified my guarding making it wider. I guess choosing a wire wheel with short bristles would be better since it would be less likely to widen out . Wire wheel does work great though.

This wire wheel is 10 times better than the harbor freight ones. I use it off and on and has lasted me well over a year.

I originally bought this to fit on a Jet 8" bench grinder - which is another story in itself. This was bought thru an outside vendor, contacted Amazon about it and never heard back from the vendor. The Jet grinder was not up to my standards and I eventually settled with a Metabo, which takes a different size wheel. So now I have a wire wheel i don't need and seemingly can't return.

We use a lot, still in good shape, hasn't lost any wires yet
