I can stretch 1 to 1.5 years out of a single XL refill cartridge but the best performance I've experienced is to not refill the cartridge with distilled water more than twice (usually works out to 6-9 months for me). When the cartridges are brand new, I can usually get some of the better (umm, "exotic" maybe) cigars to bloom. In the grand scheme... the Cigar Oasis system and cartridges are inexpensive relative to what I have in the humidor.
