I've tried using other pill splitter containers that always either leave them crumbled or one side larger than the other. Especially since my pills are large they are hard to swallow. These scissors work fantastic, and are easy to cut with. Doesn't need a lot of pressure.

Easy to use, exceeded expectations and cuts precisely. I was hesitant to purchase but did since the product had good ratings. I was afraid the cutters would cut jagged or uneven but to my surprise they cut very clean. I do want to warn anyone that is on blood thinners or has a bleeding disorder, please place the pill in the cutter and cup your hand carefully around the pill while cutting to keep pill halves from flying or cut in a tissue. Just be careful because they are sharp and could easily cut a finger. Keep away from kids for sure! I like this cutter better than the one that you have to line up the pill with the razor blade as you close, I never could get it to stay put or cut in half very well where one side wasn’t smaller than the other. I definitely recommend

This is literally the easiest pill cutter I've ever used. Hardly need to exert any effort. I purchased initially to use on very large Augmenten antibiotic pills and these worked like a dream. If you have arthritis, fibromyalgia that impacts your hands, or are elderly these work wonderfullly.

These work great especially for odd shaped tablets. The scissors are very sharp and thick and won’t bend when you cut a tablet in half. Softer tabs get cut cleanly most of the time. Much much better than a traditional pill cutter. Oh, I’m a pharmacist too.

I bought these scissor cutters, as I already have a cutter for small tablets; however I have a very large tablet, that has symbols on both sides and my smaller cutter was just shattering the tablet & I was hoping these scissor cutters might solve the issue. The cutters are nice & heavy, & very-well made!! Unfortunately with this particular large tablet, I’m having similar issues cutting it in half as well. It never cuts evenly; I always get one small-half, and one large-half with some crumbling. I truly think it’s the design of the tablet itself that’s causing the issue, & it would happen with any cutter, due to the lines/symbols on both sides. If a tablet has a score line down the middle, the scissor cutters work beautifully and I’d definitely recommend them.

I’d give this item a million stars if I could! This is the best invention for cutting pills into smaller pieces. I have a medical foster kitten that needs several pills. I only had a regular pill cutter, when the veterinarian said I needed to give my foster kitten a 1/4 of the tablet instead of 1/2. I thought my regular pill cutter would be okay, but I was so very wrong! Fragments everywhere!! I found out about these and was blown away. They operate just like scissors and can cut the tiniest pill into quarters. This item handles well, cuts precisely, and cleans well. It also makes cutting pills fast. I’m so sold I do a show-and-tell whether anyone wants to know or not! Well worth the price and will save your sanity!

Works great on large pills like Dasaquin for my dogs. When I was using a traditional pill cutter, they almost always ended up with one half okay but the other half was sometimes in two or three pieces. When I saw these, I thought it was worth trying. These are perfect for large pills!

This is by far the best pill cutter and most accurate I've used. I've tried 8 over the past year and a half - just about every different kind and type. I take a lot of medicines (a LOT - pills, capsules, and tablets) of varying shapes and sizes. When one of my meds switched from an oblong average sized pill to a SUPER tiny teeny round one and I was directed to cut in half, I needed one that could cut it properly without causing any crush or debris. So my search began. I tried several kinds that had "secure in place" and "holders" and "extra sharp blade" and all sorts of things. They ALL left some crush residue behind and had a rate of crush and uneven cuts that made them frustrating - even if they were easy on my arthritic hands. These scissors - while not quite as easy when dealing with arthritis, they are still manageable for me - have scissor blades that are wonderfully sharp for the pills, which makes a CLEAN and EVEN break leaving me with two perfect halves and no dust residue or ruined/disproportionate doses. But the "blades" like any scissors aren't the kind that would cut YOU, leaving it safe to use one hand to hold the pill in the scissors and adjust as needed and continue holding it gently while using the other hand to use the scissors and cut the medication without fear of cutting your hand if things fumble or any mishaps. This makes them perfect in every conceivable way for me, and easy as pie to take with me to use where I am no hassle. One year later of cutting multiple pills every few days, and the scissor blades FINALLY MIGHT be starting to get slightly less sharp. I think I may want to replace them in a few more months time. Thats some really good wear factor! And theres been no distressing of the metal of the blades with wear or washing (no discoloration, uneven wear, rusting, etc etc). Definitely recommend this listing. If youre looking for a pill cutter for something small (too small for majority of the hinge cutters even when those list they are good for "XS pills") that leaves no residue and never destroys or unevenly cuts, THIS IS IT.

It’s a must have for people who want to cut tablets in to half, one fourth etc it will do that job very well

This cutter works great on my larger pills. It did not shatter 1 of my pills. I have tried 2 other pill cutters and all have shattered my larger tablets into pieces. This cutter in my view is well worth the price.

The right quality product

I often have to sit my medication to obtain a correct dose. Although this scissor shows the size of tablet it work best for, I have found it quite reliable in splitting other sizes and shapes. The trick is a steady hand and to find exactly where the scissor should sit in relation to the score line. It may take a couple oops e but the learning curve is quick. I have used it on unscored round and oblong tablets. A matter of a little practice is required. It is sharp and does not crush pills like those splitters that are a small plastic container with a blade that cuts a pill that sits inside a V-shape space.

I have a hard time with some vitamins being way too big to just swallow (I often referred to as horse pills imho) The one calcium brand I have I used these on and they cut the pill very cleanly no breaking off pieces, and one multi vitamin that unfortunately had quite a bit of crumbling but I definitely think it may just be the brand as it is new to me as well. but very impressed with how easy it was to do with these scissors.
