OEM quality. Positions clearly labeled. Self adjusting.
Work great! Uses Lucas red grease. Straight forward, but a bit messy, install. OEM replacement. One seal got smushed in shipping, even with heavy duty boxing, but supplier sent extras ASAP. Does not include wire splices/connectors. Don’t forget the break-in process, before hitting the open road. Love the self adjusting upgrade.

Great quality, all mounting hardqware is included and these were a snap to install.
These were a breeze to install on my 10' Hallmark enclosed trailer. Popped off the old hubs, installed the backing plate, greased and installed the new bearings in the drums and mounted the drums on the spindle. All parts look to be of good quality and everything needed to install was included in the hardware kit, minus the wiring on the trailer. I'll add that adding the wiring to the trailer took longer than mounting these on the trailer axle.

Easy replacement
The kit is a perfect fit for my Dexter 3500 axles. Makes for easy work to completely replace my brake components with minimal effort and works perfectly

Some missing hardware
Like the few other non-5-star reviews, my kit came missing some hardware. One of the backing plates didn't have any of the mounting studs installed or included, and no nuts to mount either of the backing plates were included. No big deal, just a trip to the hardware store and a couple bucks in nuts and bolts, but a little annoying when you're expecting a complete kit. Other than that, it was a nice kit and only took a couple hours to install, including wiring up the breakaway and battery on a trailer that previously did not have brakes.

Made in China
So, the item is 100% as described. Fit well. And performance is well enough. I have a very heavy built 12 ft 3500lbs trailer and needed a solution to save my truck brakes. Apparently not all states require trailer brakes on smaller trailers and on top of saving my brakes I wanted to be compliant across the board. The only exception I have is everything is China. Which is fine considering we shoot ourselves in our own foot by killing these types of manufacturing jobs in the US. I dont have too many concerns with the product, however the bearings feel ultra cheap. And I feel that despite how well they are packed, I will see a failure with them sooner rather than later. Which I may just make a small upgrade to better ones sooner rather than later. And honestly, I have only put a hundred miles or so on this set up, so I still have some adjustments to make since I'd say it's safe to say the shoes are seated. But I will definitely check bearing play as well. It is nice having that piece of mind knowing what you're pulling is helping slow things down. I would recommend this product, its a great price, but I would caution about the cheap bearings and races. I think that would be a well worthwhile upgrade. Especially when you start pricing this stuff compared to the axle manufacturers. They want 200 per side just for baking plates and drums.

Good quality kit that works well when installed correctly
I installed this on my 3,500 capacity trailer and used it to move 600 miles on hilly roads. It works as intended, and the kit came complete with high quality parts and functions well. Be careful with installation and do not rush it and use quality grease for the bearings and waterproof wiring connections. Finally, do your research on the correct brake controller for your vehicle and make sure your truck has a electric brake controller before you try to use the electric brakes on the trailer.

Shipping was almost 50% of the cost but still a good deal for the money
I purchased a new tandem axle car hauler but it only has brakes on the back wheels. This afternoon I installed these on the front axles. This kit has everything including lug nuts, nuts and washers to attach to the axle, castle nut and cotter pin and two grease caps (one regular and one easy lube). Tip: Grease all 4 bearings while gloved up so you don't need a second pair of gloves for the second wheel. I used a block of wood and a rubber mallet to seat the seals and install the grease caps. The only reason this took me two hours to install was because I didn't loosen the lug nuts before jacking up the trailer with my 6"x6"x30" DIY ramp. The only thing that would make this better is if the shipping wasn't so expensive, but even with the shipping it was less expensive than some others which didn't include nuts, washers, or lug nuts.

True ryde brake assembly
Box came damaged. I know it's a heavy item. 2 studs for brake assy were loose in the box. Good thing they didn't fall out.

Kit arrived well packaged and complete. Race bearings were already pre-installed, bearings were packed with grease and installed, too. I've never installed brakes or done anything of the sort before, and the entire process took only 40 mins per wheel. Super simple bolt on/off. Brakes work great!

Perfect fit. Liked that the bearing came pre packed, and with 2 different cap lengths. Washers and new nuts for the axle would have been nice.

One of the brakes were missing nuts and lockwashers so I had to buy them separately. That wouldn't have been a big deal but when I went to remove the bearings so I could pack them in grease I couldn't get the rear seals out. I ended up using half of the new parts and half of my old assembly. Extremely disappointing as I could have saved a lot of money if I only ordered half the parts and not the whole kit.
