Works extremely well. Powerful and quiet with a good amount of storage for sawdust. The fittings supplied means that it fits perfectly with multiple of my tools.

Pretty good for the money.
Seems a good machine and have used at my lathe when sanding and on the bandsaw port. It did pick up shavings and jammed the webs at the end of the pipe where it enters the machine. Quite what these are for I have no idea so I cut them to half size and no issues or blockages since. A small issue. If you get sawdust on the lid around the handle, when you bend down and switch on, the sawdust gets blown in your face with the exhaust air. This is a bit of a mystery as there seems hardly room for the air to escape between the handle and the lid. But overall a good machine.

Perfect for the small workshop.
Works very well, suction is good and I really can’t fault it. Very easy to use.

Great performance
Have used this extractor on my band saw, table saw and sanding machine. Works very well, it’s a bit early to tell how the filter will last before replacing. Great value for the money. Only downside is it’s a bit noisy when you connect to a smaller hose. I would be happy to recommend the extractor.

Good but could be better.
Overall a good vacuumbut due to poor design and planning I've made some improvements. The vacuum performance was ok but not great, so I added a gasket around the hose inlet as it was leaking hugely and also the seal where the lid meets the base bin I added a gasket around that as well and the suction has improved 2 fold.

Absolutely fine
Lumberjack Dust Collector Absolutely fine This looks great value. I bought it to replace my Record Power RDSE2, which kept tripping my shop circuit, despite my attempts to adjust the motor brushes. Interestingly, the collection drum has exactly the same diameter (about 354mm) as the RDSE2, so that the lid/motor top units are interchangeable. Because the heights are different (LJ 480mm, RDSE2 580 - see photo) it follows that the internal volumes are different ((LJ 43 litres vs RDSE2 53 litres). These estimates take into account the internal filters (about 4 litres, and also interchangeable, I think). So the LJ is not quite the 50 litres it claims! No worries, it's near enough, and I can always use the RDSE2's drum! I also think that the LJ is slightly quieter, but both still need ear defenders for anything other than quick use. Both too have the same extraction flow rates (LJ 183 cu.m/hr = 51 litres/sec, compared with RDSE2's advertised 53 litres/sec). Finally the LJ cost me about £100, compared with Record Power's £299. RecordP has some explaining to do, as the LJ has the same (or better?) build quality. The LJ is well recommended. Edit! The internal filters for the Record Power RSDE2 and this LJ BDE 100 are NOT interchangeable, unfortunately. That doesn't alter the 5* recommendation. Edit2: These paper filters fit - just. You will have to be patient getting them on but they aren't too expensive. Really Great but...
It's brilliant but you need to do 2 things once you have unpacked it (as mentioned by the first ever review above). 1 - to remove squeaky noise you need to mount the 100mm hose socket and gasket on the outside of the drum (it's easy. Only 4 screws). That kills the noise. 2- you need to fabricate a thin rubber gasket/seal to fit between the motor head part and the drum. The suction power was twice as strong after installing the gasket/seal!! Why not providing one as standard? It's cheap and easy!!. 4stars because of the above. G.
