The Public Health and Safety Organization's "NSF" certification does not appear on the Scouring Stick packaging. I might point out that I am unaware of any human, animal or fowl use products that include pumice contained in Scouring Sticks. My purchase was and is directed toward cleaning toilet bowls. The pumice left in the bottom of the toilet bowl is flushed into the municipality's sewer treatment plant. They report the product does not interreact with enzymes found in the effluent water and ends up in the drying beds which are then used in soil stabilization projects. Just received it and there is ONE bar 5.25 x 1.25 x 0.75 inches.

Q: Is this Pumice on a plastic stick to hold onto?

It is a pumice stone. It comes in a plastic wrap. You either remove the plastic wrap or leave it to use it. I personally prefer keep the plastic wrap because it protects my hands. I just remove a little bit in order to wet the pumice. The stick works better when the pumice is wet.
