Proto Industrial J276GXL XL Series Slip Joint Pliers w/Grip 6"

These are great pliers. I rarely use tools but I had a special need for a better pair of pliers than what I had. This one works perfectly and is lovely besiedes (if you can call a tool 'lovely'). It is heavy for its size, and strong. My three step ladder with a large top handle has been my safe 'go-to' for many years, but the plastic pull handle that opens and closes the ladder broke off. I now use these pliers to pull on the metal piece located where the plastic handle used to be to open and close. I will never give up that ladder; it appears to not be available any more. Saved by the pliers!

These pliers are great; especially for the price. I bought the slip joint and the needle nose and they make a great pair along with my Knipex cobras. I keep them all bundled together in my tool bag.

I keep these bad boys on my hip daily. I work outside and I’m constantly pulling these out of their holster. 95% of the time they get the job done, and when they don’t it’s not their fault possibly operator error hah. I’d recommend these to everyone.

I have yet to use them but they feel good in the hand and aren’t all sloppy in the joint like the blue handled brand. It doesn’t come with the key ring nor a hole in the handle but I wasn’t looking for that personally, but just be aware if you are

i just love these, proto made another design when you use it you just cannot pinch your fingers with those pliers compared to others , that they are made similar like these. it's a wonderful tool to use in every situation at work or around the house.. i've been working with proto professional tools since 1985 . they still continue to perform and innovate i love it.
