Every toddler dad or new homeowner should have one!
Of the armbar options available, drive fit me best as I wanted a screwdriver and scissors on hand, but the so-so reviews gave me reasons to reconsider. I purchased it and am very glad I did. Its a very nice size, not at all bulky, and even though there is no pocket clip, it fits in the small, coin pocket in the right hand pocket of jeans (see photos). It won't fall out, it doesn't jab me, and its always on my person. If I'm wearing cargo pants, it rides along in a cargo pocket. I've owned it for roughly 10 days and have used it much more than I expected. The screwdriver is a common size and is perfect for changing batteries in toddler toys. I've also used it for tightening electrical outlets and assisting switching out my florescent to LED ballasts in my garage. Even though it doesn't lock, its held in place securely under light to medium duty use. I do enjoy the option to use it at a 90 degree angle if necessary. I feel like this will come in handy working on interior panels in vehicles and other mechanical needs. The magnet has been quite strong and the bit hasn't fell out. It takes a bit of force to pull the bit out to switch it around. The Scissors are also for light duty use but of a better quality than I expected. I've used this to open a bag of apple chips for the kids that my wife couldn't tear open. I havent tried cutting a zip tie yet, but I think it could handle it, along with smaller diameter ropes and paracord. The knife is capable for anything larger. The knife is sharp and locks in place. I really enjoy that I can open it with the side of my thumb rather than a fingernail. The awl is incredibly sharp. I wish I needed this but I never needed to poke holes in leather. However this is sharp enough that it could be used for ripping, tearing, poking, or scoring. A practical use could be opening packages and cutting cardboard for kid's crafts. I had used its very fine tip to scrape detritus out of a tiny gear for my son's toy car. You have to be very careful closing this tool. The pry bar / bottle opener has a satisfying click when opening and closing. I've found myself playing with this feature from time to time. I feel that the edge, although blunt and smooth, may also work as a large size flat head screwdriver. I honestly envision using this pry feature to assist in removing interior panels in vehicles where a larger pry bar may be too large and damage the panel. The hammer feature i havent used yet but should be just right for lightly tapping items into place. Its likely perfect for tapping down paint can lids and nails, such as picture frame or finishing nails that just need a little extra effort. Overall I'm very happy I purchased this tool. It's largely for light and medium duty use but thats exactly why it exists. We have stand alone tools for heavy duty use. It fits my life well as a dad to younger kids and someone who repairs house fixtures and vehicles. Its priced right, feels good in the hand, feels substantial (high quality metal) for its size, yet is is fairly compact. I purchased the orange (gold) color so I dont loose track of it. It feels like it should hold up over time as well. I'd recommend this product for every day carry and for the uses I've mentioned above.

Severely underrated
The EDC community seems to abhor this thing, which makes me laugh. The blade is sharp out of the box. The toolset is broad and versitile for the small size of this thing. It wont weight you down. The lockup is solid with no play. All the tools can be opened and used with one hand. I'll admit, the scissors arent the best but they'll cut a straight line in fabric and paper so they're perfectly serviceable. The lack of a pocket clip is noticable but at the very least there are easily accessible holes for mounting a pocket clip and pretty good compatible aftermarket clips are sold on amazon. Sure, the blade isn't some super steel, but it's easy enough to sharpen and is far from the worst steel out there. Now, I need to make it clear, I may have just gotten very lucky. I might be the outlier, getting an Armbar Drive with a solid lockup, tools that are neither too tight nor too loose, and decent scissors. But that is what I got, so based on my experience, this is the highest quality and most versatility you can get out of a multitool at this price. I have heard others complain about play in the blade and loose slip joints on the tools. I believe them, but I also believe this is a mass produced product and even with decent quality control you will see those issues. For me though, mine came with near perfect tolerances, it almost even has the opposite issue where the slip joints on the tools seem almost a little too tight for my liking. Either way, be warned, I'm sure the quality of these varies, but if you're lucky enough to get a good one you'll be very pleased with what you get

Multi-Tool that has almost everything.
I enjoy EDC (everyday carry) type products, I'm always looking for the next knife, wallet, pen, or backpack, when I got sent the ad for this product I was pretty excited about it. I mean the thing has a legitimate screw driver instead of an almost useful tool that you end up using in a pinch. So after breaking an older knife I pulled the trigger. This is a good knife. It probably compares most to a swiss army knife or the Leatherman Free T4 (which I own as well). I always carry my knife in my back pocked and the T4 is a little bit thick and is pain in the ass to carry. Ill just do a quick break down. Good - Bottle opener is on the "outside" of the knife so its quick and easy to access without having to "open" anything. - Hammer/pry is a very useful tool that i am glad to have. These are all part of the bottle opener, but its much more robust than your standard bottle opener. - knife is good sized, larger than the T4. - Screw driver is awesome. the socket is magnetized so it hold on to screws. The socket can also hold standard screw driver bit heads. So that's useful. Although if you are going to carry around a bunch of bits you might as well carry a screw driver. But never the less, it came in handy when I was already using one screw driver and needed a second one and used this with a different style bit. Bad - IT DOESNT HAVE A BELT CLIP. I read some reviews after I ordered the knife so I wasn't shocked when it arrived. I also found a dude on Etsy who makes a 3d printed clip for this knife, so after it arrived i ordered that as well. But what kind of pocket knife doesn't have a clip? If it had a clip it would be a 5 despite the problem below. - The only tool that locks is the knife. This doesn't affect the scissors or the awl (which I haven't used so maybe it will be a problem in the future, but I might never use the awl), but it does affect the screw driver. It has nice to be able to operate the tool at different angles but the tool wont stay fixed anywhere. So its kind of a problem. Okay that's it. Make your own decision on whether or not you want to buy this thing.

Perfect for everyday carry
I had been looking at this for a good minute and after a bit of back and forth I went ahead and bought it. After having it for a bit I think I am able to give a good review about this. I will break this down per tool and then an overall at the end. Bit Driver : If you are looking at this multitool, then this is the tool that probably brought you to it. So lets look at it. It is true that this does not have a lock, of which it would have been great to have one, but when looking at how this is put together it would have increased the overall size of the tool. What this one has going for it is that while it does not have a lock, it gives you a compact quarter inch bit driver in a package that cannot be beat. For its size, the utility that it provides is phenomenal and if you are looking to do higher torque jobs then you probably wouldn't be looking into a Gerber armbar. For me this function gets a 4/5. Scissors : Second on this list of tools will be the scissors. The way these fold is quite unique, and if you are worried about cutting yourself while opening or closing these rest assured, you wont. They are sharp, but the way it all folds up and unfolds does not put you at risk. There is a small thumb pad at the base of the handle, which allows you to apply pressure without it just being on a thin bar of metal. For prolonged cutting this could be a bit cumbersome, but for everyday use these scissors are incredible. I have used them for awhile each day and they have not dulled. They provide a crisp, clean cut and work for me every time. I did a test and was able to cut through ten pieces of stacked paper just fine without them twisting. To get them out, if the little lip is giving you a problem, lift the bit bar and you can then fold them out just fine. For me this tool gets a 5/5. Awl : While this tool may seem like a niche tool (and for a lot of reasons it is) the value I put on this was, at first underscored, but after I got this and have carried this with me I can say that this little guy brings quite the bit of value with it. This value is mainly in the form of overall safety. We have all come across blister packs and other packages that are quite difficult to open, and we have to resort to using a knife or scissors to open these. Now, while this tool does have both of the other tools mentioned, what I like to use this awl for is to begin the hole for the other tools. I have worried before that if my hand slipped while pressing with a knife or with the scissors that I would stab my hand, my leg, or the product inside of it and thus create bigger issues. By having the awl to create the beginning hole I do not have to worry about this anymore. You can also use this to open small packages on its own if you would like to, although I would just leave that to the other tools. The level of safety this brings gets this tool a 5/5. Hammer/Pry Bar : These two, while they aren't used as much as the other tools, are unique in the way that they bring to the table a form of utility that the other tools do not, as well as save your other tools from being used for jobs they should not be used for. The hammer, while small, is very useful for fixing small nails that are standing a bit proud, and is also useful for closing containers, or just small everyday chores that require a bit more force. This does not mean that it is as useful as a true hammer, as this will not drive a full nail. The prybar is also very useful in doing exactly what its name entails, prying things. It clicks VERY firmly into place, so you can get quite a bit of heft on it, and the tool is long enough that you can get a solid grip. This combination makes it for a comfortable feeling. It will for sure open containers for you, and is VERY good at getting staples out of walls. I have used it several times on various things and it has not failed me at all, and still closes firmly as well. I will say though that if you are in need of a hammer, please carry the right sized hammer. This gets a 5/5 for me. Knife : The blade is a sheepsfoot style of blade, and it is made from 5CR15MOV steel I believe. The edge is very bity, and while not the best steel in the world, for general use everyday this little guy is great. I absolutely love him. It saves you time and can save your other everyday knife from overuse. The lock sits on the inside, behind the blade, and is VERY strong, so you do not have to worry about it closing on you. Its a tight hinge, so when you disengage the lock it will not bite into your finger. The only thing I did not like is that because of fingerhole cut out on the blade and how it is a bit stiff (again not a problem) it made it difficult to open with one hand. However, I did find an incredibly easy solution for this on Etsy. If you look up Gerber Armbar Driver Thumb Bar by FMI-NYC they 3D print a little insert that will sit into the opening perfectly, thus making it a one handed open. For me this gets a 4/5 by itself - 5/5 with the thumb bar. Overall the Gerber armbar is a great overall multitool that I can see feeling right at home in anyone's pocket or bag. The utility it provides in this size of package is unbeatable at this price and if anyone is in need of a multitool that wont let you down I would say get this one.

Excellent pocket tool with a couple areas for improvement
I’ll begin with saying that I love this knife, but it definitely has some pros and cons. I’ll list them and then add a more detailed review. Pros: - Really good screwdrivers - Amazing scissors (they’re going to take some getting used to, but the design allows for much bigger scissors in such a small space—so a net positive) - Bottle opener/pry bar will work amazing & is super easy to access, but I’d not venture to say it’s a hammer too - Knife is super easy to access and the lock works excellent without being obtrusive (this does make it slightly harder to unlock but I’m not complaining) - Has both a Phillips and flathead that’re way better than any other multi tool I’ve used - Blade is way better steel than my other gerber, any of my victorinox knives, or my SOG snippet Cons: - Screwdrivers are chisel-ground, not a hollow grind (I may be able to find others that are though) - No tools but the knife lock, but I don’t personally need any of them to, although it would be EXTREMELY nice for anyone who uses the screwdriver a lot - No pocket clip or spot to affix a lanyard My more detailed review: I’m going to love this knife. It feels like way better quality than any other similarly priced multi I’ve ever felt or used. It has a couple drawbacks but I’d say it’s easily worth $60, but I (on my part-time, minimum wage budget) wouldn’t personally pay more than $40, because it can be found for $30 (price I paid on 14.March.2024). Great for anyone who could use these tools everyday, 10/10 would recommend!

Everybody needs this one
Even better than I expected. Excellent knife, scissors, and screwdriver. Perfect size, compact and light, but you still get a good sized blade and scissors and big enough to be useful. Probably one of the most practical multitools out there for everyday life.

Maybe the best multi tool you'll actually carry
I bought this because I realized that the tools I used the most weren't my single-blade folders, and my OG Leatherman Wave weighs half a pound. Long story short, this tool is great, and any tools that are better are less likely to get carried around. Things I like: Size: it's less than half the size of the Leatherman Wave. It's not going to bash into my leg if I just threw it in my pocket. It's small enough that I'll probably end up having it on me all the time. Screwdriver: I've used it to set up an air conditioner vent, and to tighten up a drawer pull. Other reviews were really worried about it closing up in use, but I haven't seen that. The screwdriver is angled slightly so it puts the point on the axis of the tool body, but the line of action points toward forcing the pivot open. So if you really push on it should tend to stay open. It also sticks out farther overall than my Wave, and has swappable bits. This is the single best feature and the one I use the most. Awl: I've used this to scribe part of the window trim for the AC unit. It's not carbide, but I think this is how I'll end up using it. Are ok with caveats, and the caveats are all basically "these can't be improved without screwing up the form factor of the tool, but they are still pretty great to have in your pocket" Bottle opener: it's too short to reach halfway across the bottle cap, so it takes two hits to open. One to bend up an edge really far, then a second hit farther over to ease the cap off. Overall it's reminiscent of the "You Earned It" opener that bends the cap in half, other than it's only big enough to bend a quarter or so of the cap, and isn't half a pound. Pry bar: I've used it to get battery covers open, but it is a little short. Better than my fingernails though, which is the key here. Knife: it's sharp, it's decently shaped, but opening one hand is a bit slow and fidgety. The problem is that the tool is basically square in cross section, so as you push the blade out with your thumb, the whole tool wants to spin in your hand. I tested this by holding one side only of my Wave, and had the same problem. The best I've come up with was while cutting strapping, I popped the blade out partway with one hand, and let the cutting stroke open and lock the blade. To the extent that it's a pain to open, it's unavoidable for this form factor of knife. Bashing face: I haven't actually used it yet. The tool is under an inch square, and under a quarter pound, so I doubt I'll be pounding in nails with it. However, this does seem like it would be an improvement over whacking stuff with a closed fist, or with any other pocket tool that's not made for whacking. The bad: Scissors: they can be opened and closed with one hand, but they just feel cheap and ill-thought. The opening is just bizarre, the angle of opening seems weird, the cutting action isn't smooth, the spring loaded return isn't smooth. Cutting paper, it's hard to tell if you're cutting, because the drag on the blades is so much. These are about the same closed size as the Wave scissors which are so much nicer in every way. These are really the only thing that are deficient in an obviously fixable way, and it's glaringly obvious.

Great design, mid quality.
Love the design and tool options on this! However the tolerances are poor, the tools stick, and even with alignment and sharpening fail to perform. Pass on this, get a solid knife and scissors separately. Or just buy a SAK.
