## Description

The Lua's advanced R2 Pro Optic sensor delivers your choice of seven DPI settings 250, 500, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750 and 2000 so you can game with accuracy at the speed that matches your style. SWITCH SPEEDS WITH EASE - A single button press lets you quickly choose between tracking tempos for the easiest way to customized acceleration. You can even program the button to switch only between the DPI settings you use most. PLAY IN MAX COMFORT -Thanks to its perfectly-balanced, ambidextrous V-shaped design, the Lua delivers comfort to both left- and right-handers. Its sleek form also ensures a top fit for any hand size. Plus, the Lua features No- Sweat side grips that ensure a steady hold even when the action gets hot as well as a soft touch surface that lets you play comfortably during extended sessions. NEVER MISS A WHEEL COMMAND - The Lua's ultra-precise 2D scroll wheel lets you give every wheel command with absolute precision. Every incremental step locks securely into place, so you won't have to worry above over-scrolling. When you want weapon 2, you won't accidentally scroll too far and end up with weapon 3 or 4 which can mean the difference between life and death in your favorite lightning-paced FPS. Plus, the Lua's advanced scroll wheel delivers solid tactile feedback, so you can actually feel your way to more accurate gaming. SOAK UP THE ATMOSPHERE - Mood matters and the Lua delivers. It features a large ROCCAT logo lit up in arctic blue which looks awesome on your desktop while perfectly complementing your other ROCCAT gear. The illuminated logo even has a “breathing” effect, so you'll know your Lua is alive and well and awaiting your next command. GAME AWESOME / GAME HARD - We built the Lua mega-tough and state-of-the-art using only the highest-quality materials and most advanced technology.

Review: Solid, simple, durable mouse for gaming - Apparently I've owned this mouse (and I can't believe I'm writing this) for FIVE (5) years. This mouse has been tested and true, accurate, responsive, and durable. Mice are like cars, every one is different and different people have different desires. It's basic, but that's all I want in a mouse. I game almost daily and it's never let me down. It's light, fits into my (relatively) small hands just perfectly. It doesn't have any side buttons for me to accidentally click. It's no Logitech MX-Master series mouse, but for $20, it's one of the cheapest and longest lasting components of my computer build. You may ask, why am I writing this now? Well, after 5 years I've noticed the scroll wheel starting to misbehave. It seems to sporadically scroll opposite of the way I'm actually scrolling. If I'm playing a shooter, it's kind of frustrating to not be able to use the scroll to change weapons on the fly. And browsing websites is becoming a pain. Maybe the sensor needs a cleaning, but I was thinking maybe it's time for a new mouse. Either way, I'd absolutely buy this mouse again and again. Maybe not when it's $30-$40, since you can get a good Logitech for that price. But for around $20, it's the best you can spend in terms of longevity and function.
Review: Simple, high-quality mouse - This the third Roccat mouse I own. I also have a Kone Pure Optical, and a refurbished Kova. I bought the Lua for my work PC because I wanted something that was precise and well made, but without the frills, and the Lua is just that. I'm happy to say that the Lua is closer to the newer generation Roccat mice (i.e., the Kone) than the older ones (the Kova), because the Kova is kinda s***ty. The mouse tracks fine (I think it defaults to 800dpi), and doesn't appear to have built-in acceleration, positive or negative, which is good. It doesn't track quite as precisely as the Kone Pure Optical, but it's barely noticeable - only when you're literally trying to click pixels. The switches for the 3 mouse buttons appear to be very similar to the ones on the Kone, and feel very high quality, but the scroll-wheel seems to be 2nd grade - it works perfectly fine, but it's a little noisier. The buttons and scroll wheel both feel better than the Kova, which just seems poorly manufactured in comparison. The finish on the top of the mouse is matte and very pleasant. The sides are made of hard plastic, and feel a little cheap, but well crafted. What I mean is that the plastic looks like's well molded/cut. It feels perfectly fine and serviceable. The mouse feet are the same shape as the Kone, but appear to be made of a different material. However, they seem slippery enough, and the difference is small - I'm not sure I'd be able to tell in a blind test. I have yet to install the drivers for the mouse, but if they're anything like the drivers for the Kone or the Kova, they should be well put together. In summary, if you're looking for something that is relatively cheap and well made, rather than cheap and with 1000 leds and 100,000 dpi, I recommend the Lua. Would I use it for gaming over the Kone? Probably not. But I would probably be pretty happy if I didn't have that choice.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not perfect, but pretty good.
*by R***N on December 9, 2016*

Feels great in the hand, works smoothly, and the switches feel just right. Body is definitely on the small side, making this unfit for those with large hands, but those like me who have small hands might find this a great fit. Feature-wise, the LUA is pretty bare-bones, but I find the price justifies this. 3 main buttons (LMB, RMB, and scroll button) plus a DPI switch make for quite a simple mouse, though for the few people in this universe who prefer minimal mouse buttons, myself included, the LUA is a very good, simple, clutter free mouse. Only problem for me, though, is the scroll-wheel. It's become very unreliable over time - not resting in the notches properly and thus randomly letting go and scrolling a notch, plus scrolling sometimes going the opposite direction multiple times per scroll, making scrolling a bit of a chore. I probably would have knocked off another star given the scroll-wheel reliability, but with how it feels to me in terms of ergonomics and switches, I personally find it worth using, regardless.
