Finally, something comparable to my Leophile Eel
This review is for PHILIPS Bluetooth Neckband Headphones. So, I've gone through 3 or 4 pair of bluetooth neckband earbuds trying to find something comparable to my old Leophile Eel, which still works perfectly fine. It's just that the protective rubber cord around the wiring is splitting up where it meets each earbud. I'm afraid this will compromise the durability. Other than that my Eel has been fantastic. Sounds really good and I've never had technical issues with them. However, they are almost impossible to find now, as it seems that Leophile no longer exists or they are under a different name now. I wouldn't be surprised if they went under from selling such great earbuds at too low of a price (usually around $40-$60). The earbuds I went through before the Philips were the 'FIIL Digital Noise Cancelling Headphones' and the 'Picun Wireless Headphones 35 Hours Playtime Neckband Bluetooth Headphones LED Light'. The FIIL tore my ears up out of the box with extremely tinny highs that irritated my ears. After adjusting the EQ in Spotify and practically turning the high frequencies almost all the way down they were acceptable. They still didn't sound nearly as smooth and good as my Leophile Eel though. They do look and feel nice. However, your ears immediately know the quality of sound by how irritating it does or doesn't become to your ears after several minutes of listening. The Picun buds straight up just didn't sound as good as my Eel no matter what I did with them. Philips... these are good. Very good. They sound every bit as good as my Eel, which really surprised me, and right out of the box. Nothing irritated my ears, the S's sounded nice and smooth on a good quality sound file. That's a good sign. Even the built in voice sounded nice and clear. Coast to Coast AM podcasts sounded great. I am real happy with the sound quality. Someone here complained about there not being enough bass. There is plenty of bass. If you really want to ruin your ears then maybe a few might ask for even more bass, but I did not require it. I do have the EQ adjusted for more bass though, and I set my iPhone to the 'bass' option, so yes I like bass and require a good amount. I listen to old school hip hop and rap, motown, disco, house, techno, trance, edm, etc., and I did not require more bass than what I'm getting here. It sounds great to me. Everything sounds smooth and doesn't irritate my ears after a while of listening. That's important to me and a good indicator of sound quality. They are light but not cheapy light. They look and feel good. It comes with a micro USB > 3.5mm cord so you can plug them into a jack to listen. That cord is long enough to reach your knees. I have not tested that cord out yet. They connected to my iPhone immediately with no issues. I haven't used them long enough to know how well they stay connected but I don't expect any issues. The cords from the buds are thicker than my Leophile Eel so I appreciate that added durability for the bud cords. Haven't gotten to test how long they last. Very happy purchase so far. Overall these are probably the best neckband buds on here under $100 as long as they continue to work as advertised.

All around good headphones
I was surprised with the sound quality and noise cancellation performance of these headphones. Even my teen boys thought they sounded excellent. I do actually appreciate the neck strap on these, when at first I wasn't too impressed with that feature. I like that I can pull an earpiece out to hear what is going on around me when I want to give the impression that I can't hear anybody, especially when I'm elbows deep in dishes facing a window all day. They are quite good at drowning out all the noise that you don't want to hear when you want them to. They are great to throw in your gym bag with the neck strap feature and 12 hour battery life. I would definitely buy these again, but hopefully I never need to.

Good for the price.
Overall a solid set of ear buds. I mainly got these for work and for when I walk the dogs. Sound quality is good. Nothing amazing. Clear sound solid bass. Kind of what you would expect for 50 bucks. Ther are super comfortable, I can wear them through the whole workday with no discomfort and the seem to stay in the ear well when I use them for walking the dogs. Feel like the only downside is the battery life. I think they last about 10 hrs to 11 hours. Wish they lasted a little longer. On the plus side they charge super fast. Overall if you need a cheaper pair of buds car casual work and light activity, these are the buds for it then.

Low quality
Product randomly powers off or disconnects from phone even after charging overnight (battery not dead) Also Battery doesn’t stay charged a full day just from periodic talking (not hours of use). Ear pieces just dangle and will grab onto any metal in neck area. Would not recommend purchasing.

Ergonomics are trash
Initial thought of them are they feel nice ear buds are comfortable and sounds good. Please in that aspect but when it come to actually using the device the wires come down the side of your face to be expected but they bow out towards the front along your jaw then back down to the neckband. There's no way to adjust how much cable is Biggest problem is the buttons. The power button is a bit of a pain in the ass the use let alone hold down for 5 seconds to just turn it off and on that's too long 3 seconds is lone enough of a hold. The volume buttons are spaced out just far enough away that it's kind of awkward to use. The buttons in general are at a slight angle towards your collar bone so when you go to use them you have to literally twist your wrist to use any of the buttons. The "charging cable" that you get is only like 7 inches of cable. With that all being said I'll probably return these and look for something that doesn't bother me to literally to just turn it on

Very satisfied with this headset
Like many of the 5 stars people have said...they have a nice balanced sound (equalized)...great base for music and yet very clear and crisp for podcasting and audible books, which is what I use it for the most. Unlike a lot of the newer types that are small that aren't connected to each other, I like this one because it does stay around your neck comfortably without me having to put them away in a small container; also, because there's more room for a bigger antenna the range is greater and there seems to be no cutting in and out if you place you phone behind you...like a backpack. I love having the 3 basic buttons right on the end section of the left side where I can have easy access. Because they are waterproof the buttons are sealed and initially tricky to find and press, it will take one or two minutes to get used to it. Yes...I highly recommend it!!!

The battery life is appalling.
This is my 6th around-the-neck headset and I am extremely disappointed. The battery life is horrible for this type of headset. Every other neck headset I've had gave me almost a week of battery life for my normal use. This headset is down to 30% by the end of the day after charging it nightly. And that is with minimal use. The magnets on the end of the earbuds don't grab when one expects them to and it makes it difficult to grab and put it my ear. I leave my earbuds under my shirt and grab the earbud when a call comes in or when I need to make a call generally but I wrestle with these earbuds all the time. I was led to believe that these charge with USB-C (according to information on Amazon) but it is a micro-USB. Another big disappointment. The sound quality is adequate and they do a decent job of masking background noise so that folks I'm talking to can hear me clearly. Another disappointment: they don't vibrate when they lose Bluetooth contact with my phone; my other 5 headsets would vibrate twice when out of range which has saved my bacon more than once when losing my phone or starting to leave home without it. Overall, these are a huge disappointment. I can't return them because although they are terribly disappointing, I can't honestly say they were misrepresented. As long as you don't use them much, they do actually have 12 hours of battery life. I would not buy these again, obviously.
