Perfect for Cello treat bags!
I got this for sealing individual cookies in cello bags & it works great, it’s just a matter of playing around with it. There’s no temp control, but it gets hotter the longer it’s plugged in. I tried it on both cello & 1.4 mil poly bags & got the best seal when I heated it for 30 mins & clamped it for 5 secs. I also pressed down on it because the plates don’t meet as well at the tip. The outside casing gets pretty hot, so be careful; I used a paper towel. At first, I heated it for 10 mins but had to hold it clamped for 15 secs. Personally, I’d rather let it heat longer & spend less time on each bag. This is going to be a real time saver for me!

excellent bag sealer
We are getting ready to move toanother state and am packing household goods into containers. I needed to make some air bags to sere as cushioning for the items in the container. So I looked for a handheld bag sealer that I could use to seal thick 55 gallon bags into air cushions. I admit that the seller did not sell this item for that use, but I have to say that it worked very well. I made up sealed bags leaving a small opening to insert a vacuum hose to inflate the bags. Worked better than I could have hoped. OH, The sealer also is an excellent tool for resealing snack bags and keeps the snacks fresh until you reopen the bag. You can reseal the bags as many times as needed. This is a Great tool to have.

Does not work if you follow the directions
I purchased this to use for my sealing my cookie bags which are usually 1.2-1.3 mm in thickness. The instructions state to let it heat up 15-30 seconds before sealing. Yeah, that is a joke! I let it heat for about 5 minutes and although it did get warmer, it never did get warm enough to seal a thinner bag. I don't have time to wait for a long time for it to get hot enough and then to find out that it won't even seal, is a waste of my time and money. It is only a 3" seal, but I thought for my 2" bags, it would be perfect. Nope, it won't even seal them at all. Oh it will make an impression in the bag (you have to press down on it to get a good meet on the top and bottom plates), but it would not seal the bags at all.I cannot recommend this and I will be returning it for a refund to Amazon.

It’s Good
This heat sealer at first didn’t heat quickly enough so I let it preheat first. But when it starts building heat it gets hotter and hotter. I had to use something to not get fingers burned since you need to clamp it. I will probably purchase a sort of heating glove. I will need a heat glove where the fingers can move. Also test a few rounds of the material you’re planning to heat. You’ll have to figure out how long or short you should clamp it. Because I noticed if you don’t know….you can either heat too long and the material will melt and stick to the heating tool. If you need to take it off the plug for a bit, do so. I believe the heat gets out of hand if you don’t pay attention to how long it’s been HOT. Overall it’s a helpful tool. I like how it’s a crimp. I already have the straight line heat but this crimping one makes it more tailored looking. Making it more of a polished look.

I use it several times a month
I love this little heat sealer. I travel a lot for my job. This enables me to make little bags of meds, snacks, vitamins and supplements and shove them in between the empty spaces of my suitcases instead of carrying bigger boxes and bottles of things. It works extremely well and is very easy to use.

Heat sealer
This little heat sealer lasted about a month of sealing every couple of days. The machine is easy to use; plug in, turn on, wait for it to heat up, press closed bags etc., crimp and wait for 1 to 2 minutes for a good seal. Not designed for commercial use, but as I only wanted it to seal my coffee bean bags (1 or 2 per week), I thought it would be good. It did seal well when I followed the method above, however, after a few weeks, it stopped heating up well enough to seal my coffee bags, currently used to reseal thin bags. I will order another, because the crimp is good, just not strong enough for coffee bags.

Handy Tool for Kitchen use
We use this heat sealer in my candy shop for resealing bags of candy. It heats up quickly and creates a solid professional looking seal on all our repackaged candies. My only complaint is that it needs a longer cord. We use this daily! Great value for the price. Don't need to spend a bunch of money on to get quality crimping.

Keeps food fresh
Darn you Buzzfeed! You got me again.... seen this on their feed; best gadgets under $20. The day I received it, I went through my pantry and sealed every bag I could with this awesome little gadget. Looks like a hair crimper. Easy to use, and it comes with its own storage case. 10/10!
