    Quick fix for 2005 Odyssey

*by S***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2014*

After nine years, the sliding doors started hanging up and not opening or closing all the way. The nylon roller had fallen off and the door was meeting enough resistance that the sensor was kicking in. I ordered both left and right (still can't figure out why Amazon has different costs for left and right items, even though they are mirror images!) and researched YouTube to find out how to install. It turns out that you don't have to remove the inside panel on the van to replace this part. It's really simple: remove tail light assembly to expose bolt on rear track cover; slide door open to remove Philips head screw on front of track cover (it's behind the handle, so a long screwdriver worked best); close the door MOST of the way and slide track cover toward front of van to remove; open door all of the way and put the scissor jack on floor and extend to level of door so when you remove the bolts on the roller assembly, the door doesn't fall - after I removed the bolts, I moved the door away from van to give me a little extra room to get to the roller; remove roller from track and there is just enough slack in cable to use needle nose pliers to gently turn the cable to line up with slot and remove it (the cable does need to come out of the guide at rear end of track - there are two clips - top and bottom - that you need to depress to be able to slide guide to rear of van to free up the cable to get your slack if the cable is on the inner part of the H shaped guide); the other cable comes out super easy now; remove the clip on the pin that goes through the part that attaches to door and tap a few times with a hammer to remove the pin; attach the new rollers to the old door bracket and put the clip back on after you tap pin in with the hammer. Install in reverse order, being careful to put the bracket back at the same exact spot on the door (the holes on the bracket are slots, so there is some play). I found that using the scissor jack and leaving it same place on door bottom as when I loosened it worked well for getting it back in place. One of the YouTube videos suggested marking it with a Sharpie, but I can never seem to find one when I need it, so I did without. This was super easy to do and took about 30 minutes on each side. I did take a few extra minutes to use some 220 emery paper to smooth out the burrs in the track from where the old roller had chewed it up and cleaned track thoroughly. It now works as smooth as it did when it was new.

    Did not perform as expected!

*by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2015*

Like many other reviews here somehow this Passenger side one is worst than the Driver side one (924-128). No idea why that is! After I replaced the original one with this the door slide fine for ONE week, then the intermittent jerking/pause started again! I will most likely going to replace this with the Honda Genuine part once this stop working or later this summer whichever happens earlier.I am adding more info. b/c the left one had completely stopped working and my door won't open now! This is somehow still working but I am definitely going to replace it ASAP... just hope it last another month when I get the time to do it. Horrible product!

Fits 2010 Honda Odyssey Touring Perfectly

*by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2018*

I knew going into the repair, but one should note that this is only half of the hinge assembly. You need to disassemble (remove a pin) the assembly you take out of the van and reassemble to this new part. I replaced both the left and right rollers and now both doors operate perfectly.I was amazed at how destroyed the original rollers were. If you have any catching when opening or closing your sliding doors, go ahead and do this repair.Note that I found it necessary to pull back some internal panels in the back of the van to release tension on the cables. There is simply not enough slack to get the cables re-attached otherwise. This makes the job take longer, but it's still not too bad.
