I have a Brother PQ 1500sl, and this is such a wonderful tool to have. It's so easy to use. I had to adjust my bobbin case before I received this tool, and it took me several days to get the correct adjustment. My stitches did not look nice unless I had the top tension set at 5 (which was too high) for my sewing projects. I watched several videos using the "Drop" method, but I still wasn't able to achieve the best tension for my bobbin case. Without this tool, it is so easy to overshoot the adjustment needed for the perfect setting. I would suggest you use a full bobbin. I practiced with a full bobbin and a half-full bobbin, the full bobbin gave me the best adjustment. Now my stitches are perfect with the top tension set at 4.

This item was delivered in a timely manner. I was having some tension issues with my new sewing machine. This tension gauge worked very well. In just a minute or two I was able to check my bobbin tension, which was low. It was very easy to then tighten the bobbin tension and then I tweaked the top tension a tad. Now the stitches are beautiful.

I liked that I received the tension gauge the next day! My tension was perfect according to my manual set at 125. I thought the reader would read it out digitally but it is a visual display. No big deal. I wish it would handle different sizes of bobbins, my long arm is a L and my sewing machines are M. I would have given it a 5 star review but I found it pricey.

I use this to adjust the bobbin tension for my sewing machine. I also have one for my long arm, and since they are two different bobbin sizes finally decided to get one for my regular sewing machine since I've started using different size threads in the bobbin. This gauge makes it so easy to get the bobbin tension set just right the first time.

Works but not easy to use. Bobbins were loose when winding the bobbins.

This works great for tension. Watched a couple videos on it and it is exactly what I needed for my bobbin tension.
