Runts Hard, Fruity Candy, 5 Ounce Theater Candy Boxes (Pack of 12)

In today's grocery stores, I barely find Wonka Products. My favorite among Wonka candy is the Runts. They've always been tasty. I tend to OD on runts. I can't help it. Furthermore, I love the taste when you bite into them. I prefer to buy the original stuff over the imitation. I love apple, grape and orange. Strawberry is good, but I'm not a fan of Banana. But I eat them all anyway. When I got the package, the boxes were fine. The candy expiration date said next year. I'll finish them before the year is over. Unfortunately, since you can't buy them at stores as far as I've seen, you have to buy them here. Which is great news for us Wonka Runt fans.

Im REALLY hoping this was a random flaw. Giving 4 stars just for the fact I was even able to find Wonka Runts on Amazon. I grew up on Wonka Runts. Theyre my go to when I have a sweet tooth. Usually 10-15 pieces, and im good to go for the day. Theyve been SO HARD to find in stores since the pandemic. So I finally caved and ordered a 12 pack. They arrived about 7 days ago (at the time of this post) I immediately cracked open a box to enjoy some sweet Wonka goodness. Poured a good amount in to my hand and noticed they were ALL Apple and Grape. Didn't think TOO MUCH of it, and carried on. Went back a day later to grab more. Poured some in my hand. Still ALL Apple and Grape. Decided to dump the whole box, out of curiosity, and it was ALL Apple and Grape. I was a little miffed. Where's the orange? Banana? Strawberry? So I grabbed two bowls, sat down, and opened the other 11 boxes. I HAD to know. Out of 12 boxes, I wound up with a 6 month supply of Apple & Grape runts and MAYBE a few days worth of Orange, Banana, and strawberry. I want to be mad. But maybe this was a flook batch, and I was the unlucky recipient. I dunno. Not sure if I'll order again. We shall see.

This brings back nostalgia as I cannot find it in stores near me. I absolutely loved these when they first came out and I still do. I also liked the chewy kind as well but they don't have them as far as I know. They are very over priced but if you really want them you know you'll get them. I had no issues with any outdated boxes. I am so glad I purchased them. The picture shown is how much you get minus one box as I couldn't resist them. I also purchased the everlasting gobstopper and the are just as good.
