I originally bought this steamer during the COVID‑19 pandemic, and I’m not even ashamed to admit it was so I could properly steam the outfits from my impressive collection of high‑end Black Barbie dolls. Since then, she has become the multitasking queen of my household. I use her to clean and sanitize pillows, upholstered furniture, and even my IKEA 10" memory foam mattress. I’ve also treated myself to the occasional steam facial—she’s that versatile. The miniature iron that doubles as the steam nozzle is incredibly handy, and I love how much water she holds. The ironing board that converts into a hanging rack is another thoughtful touch that makes steaming clothes so much easier. She may be a pricey girl, but she earns every penny. I bought her in 2020, and she’s still working like new in 2026. Rowenta for the win, I would buy her again!!!

This is the second unit I have that fails on me, the steam stops building up, then the iron never heats up. I have babied this 2nd unit with distilled RO water and still! Had the first unit replaced only for this one to die 3-4 months later. Rowenta customer service is abysmal. They want a 2-3 weeks turn around time for evaluation plus I have to supply the boxing and shipping! It’s great until it stops working completely I guess. No way of checking or cleaning inside to see what is the issue on my end. Love their irons, hate this product…

So got this and it’s exactly what I wanted for two reasons. It is easier for me to have it in my room than an ironing board and iron. It does exactly what it advertises. It steams and it can iron off the built in ironing board. The board is square which does not work all that well for ironing clothes such as sleeves and pant pleats. However, you can steam out most wrinkles. The trigger for the iron steam has to be depressed all the time for steam to come out which is probably a safety feature but is also annoying. One commenter mentioned that the base that holds the water that the iron is attached to is fixed to the base. In my unit that is NOT the case. It plugs in to an outlet but can be moved off the base as far as the cord will allow which is about the length of a traditional corded iron. Putting it together was a chore. The directions are not clear. Think IKEA furniture. Now the one thing you have to watch out for are the poles that mount to the base on either side. They extend to three separate lengths the first two are fairly intuitive but to extend the poles to where the need to be for the board is not clear. Inside the tip of the poles there is a tab you must depress and pull the poles to their fully upright position. Make sure you line the poles with the indent facing forward on the tip and clamp them in with the provided clamp or they will move and become unsafe. Overall the product does a lot but like products that do many things it does not do one thing well. It’s adequate and works with the combined steam but the iron itself is not hot enough to iron without the steam. The ironing board is tall for me and I’m 5’11” . You can adjust it down if you would like. Makes sure to clamp the poles back if you lower it or it could fall while ironing. Lastly the tiny flap on the front of the main unit to add water is small and makes it hard to pour water into the unit. I would recommend a funnel for the unit since it does not come with one.

Got this to replace one we had for over 10 years; RIP you abused steamer that we never used properly. Anywho, bought this and arrived next day - oh Amazon what can’t you do! This unit is sleek and makes my old one look like an antique. It had some nice added features so you can add a huge amount of water - steam/iron with this little vertical device that attaches right to it! It heats up in 20 seconds (the manual claims 45 seconds, but I’ve never waited that long) and cranks steam! I can steam a t shirt in under a minute and the wrinkles seem to just fade and disappear. It comes with a fancy fabric brush that helps open the fibers as it steams - will work so well for curtains and other non-clothing items. Lastly, it has a fancy new way so you don’t need to use distilled water any longer. It has a de-calc feature that will hopefully keep this one going for even longer than the old one (RIP!!!!) - I loved that old one, but I also didn't know how great the new could be.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It’s a great product. It is sturdy. I like the support from the screen , there are multiple ways to hang an item, 3 heat settings, and can stay in a corner or fold up. One thing that bothers me is that it is not easy to move. It’s not heavy, but there are no wheels or handle to pick it up with. I do tilt it and lift it, but a handle would be useful.

I was taken in by the brand name Rowenta, who’s quality and design used to mean something. I’ve used their iron, made in Germany for years. I’m so disappointed in this steamer and I’ve missed the window for return. On high steam, it’s weak, I haven’t even bothered with low setting, it spits a piddles on my clothes! With some fabrics, that is problematic! I thought once it got going, it would stop, but no. Then the design, oh yes, it’s pretty and I like the screen, and it’s great if you just want to steam the front of your clothes. No wheels, ok, I knew that when I bought it, so you have to either walk around to the back, I don’t have the luxury of that extra room. With wheels, I could just whip it around, like the Pure Clean one I had before that last six years and was as good as the professional Jiffy steamer, it’s only $61.00 and worth every cent. With the Rowenta you have to take the jacket off and rehang it all while holding the handle. And to use it on the back of a garment, to walk around to the back, the hose is too short. Then, with the trouser clip hanger, once again, to do the back you have to remove the trousers, flip them around and reclip. It would’ve been so easy to make a clip hanger to unhook, turn it around and rehang. It’s all a pain in the neck. I’m so disappointed that I spent money on a machine that’s only attribute is that it looks cool. I should’ve bought the Pure Clean again!!

Good product, its easy and convenient to use. The only “bad thing” that I’ve encountered with is that throws water over the iron plate, and the clothes get a little wet!
